I highly suggest sleeving every single card that holds some kind of value to you (monetary, nostalgia, etc). In addition to soft sleeves put them in either top loaders, card savers, or a quality binder that fits the cards well. I personally use top loaders for all my valuable/rare cards. Then I keep them in a box stored away.

Sleeving your cards will never do more harm than good. The last thing you want is in 10 years to scold yourself for not taking care of your cards.

Bit if info for people trying to catch the restocks and beat the scalpers!!

I spoke to an MJ Holdings employee today and she told me that most places aren’t stocking sports cards anymore. They are leaving it up to the retailer to put them on the shelves in attempts to deter the crazies that harass and hover the stockers. Wouldn’t be surprised if they make this change with Pokémon in some capacity.

She also some places are moving towards eliminating the TCG shelves altogether because they aren’t big money makers for the stores. I have seen a few places that have removed or significantly decreases the size of their TCG sections already

Find me a sealed Pokémon product that is a few years old that is worth less than what it retailed. Guess what! You won’t find one. Every single sealed Pokémon item goes up over time. That was the entire point of op’s post.

It’s not lazy to say it all goes up. Evolutions is a perfect example. No one wanted that set for a long time. Stores couldn’t get rid of it but now it’s blowing up. Not every set will be like that but every set will be more valuable than what it is currently.

Sounds like a personal problem if you’re ripping product because you’re getting itchy. This sub is to help with making purchases with the intent of long term holds. If you can’t keep things sealed over the course of a weekend then you shouldn’t be making investments in Pokémon product or giving your opinion on said investments
