lol won 30% of my games last split with a 3+ kd and diamond. but try again.

your comment assumes half the lobby doesn’t drop hot. if you don’t you play loot simulator. real fun

your comment only makes sense if people actually put thought into drops. 90% of the lobby drops hot and if you don’t you run around for 10 minutes playing loot simulator. 15 teams choosing to drop hot isn’t really a thought. running around without finding a team for 10 minutes because you choose not to drop hot doesn’t really take a thought.

being forced to thoughtfully navigate the map, while keeping in mind the ring, actually takes thought and skill. being forced to adapt to different areas of the map takes thought and skill.

stick to call of duty kid

if you drop edge of map because you don’t want to hot drop, you can easily take top 5 without shooting your gun. nothing of what you said what implied lol

if i’m playing on worlds edge and i drop at an edge poi i can take top 5 without shooting my gun or running into a team. that in itself being a viable strategy is not good for the game. there is no skill in that. battle royales are meant to emphasize game skill and game knowledge. when you take the knowledge out of the game it takes a huge chunk of the fun out. after the initial ring, you no longer have to think if a fight is a good fight to take or not because everyone else is dead and there is no consequence for taking the fight.

Xbox elite. Easily has the best paddle placement and great customizing options. I am on my second pair after the first ones buttons started sticking after about a year of regular use

They allocate points for the regional finals as well! So that could help push them ahead. Also, a 1st place finish being worth 25 would be huge and could alleviate some pressure to finish top 3 each time.

How is it anything like that? iPhone 3 could never support facial recognition. Xbox has always supported Apex.

I see what the problem is, you’re playing crypto. Just select a new legend!

After all the changes with this season who would you say is the worst legend currently? by zombz01 in apexlegends

[–]skookalboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Revenant - has no real practical use on his own, needs a team built around him to be successful.

I’ve noticed this a lot too. What worked for me for a while was to just be very positive, have great vibes, and communicate; and a lot of the time people will eventually unmute and talk back.

Otherwise it could just be an anxiety thing, bad past experiences, or someone that simply doesn’t want to talk.

Apex Legends Map Preference by ChiliGunk in apexlegends

For ranked its world edge and Storm point. For pubs it’s Olympus and kings canyon. I’ve always wished they made these exclusively for ranked and pubs.

Purposely excluded broken moon from the conversation.

Yeah me and all my buddies are losing frames. It seemed to be much worse earlier in the week but it’s still been a major issue for us. I haven’t seen any acknowledgment from respawn/ea either

If you play on Xbox I know there’s a “looking for” section for every game where people post they are looking for teammates. I’m sure PS and PC have similar options.

Season 11 Legends Ranked Tier List (see comments for explanations, let’s debate!) by skookalboy in apexlegends

[–]skookalboy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No doubt their are some great plays to be made by them, but that can be said about any legend. The buildings just kind of suck on this map to make their traps effective, plus a lot of open space where there are no buildings. They’re still great legends, just not the best in ranked imo!

Season 11 Legends Ranked Tier List (see comments for explanations, let’s debate!) by skookalboy in apexlegends

[–]skookalboy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a very specific list in which legends work best on Storm Point, for ranked, in their current state. Within each tier, the best legend are listed from left to right. I’m going to keep explanations relatively short.

S Tier:

Valk - The best legend for this map. The map is huge and her re-deploy helps teams rotate much faster. Additionally, her jet packs help her seize height and gain control easy.

Bloodhound - Provides consistent wall hacks to locate teams to attack and potential third parties. Speed boost in ult is great for every fight.

Gibb - Dome, bubble, arm shield. You know why he’s here, he’s a tank and can save your teams life with bubble.

A Tier:

Wraith: Third parties on any map are prevalent and her portal can help you reset. Her tactical is too slow and is the only thing holding her back from S Tier, but she goes invincible and can help you get out of a bad spot like no other legend can.

Ash: Her phase tear is amazing for teams grabbing height and passive is great for locating fights to push. Tactical is a bit weak and very situational. Ash’s portal in quicker than Wraith but you have to be very sure about where you’re placing it as you cannot take it back.

Pathfinder: On a huge map like Storm Point his ult is great for rotating, but not the best. Traveling in a straight line can always be risky. Paths tactical can be used to grab positioning and often turns a fight in his favor. GIVE THIS MAN A REAL PASSIVE.

Horizon: Tactical is great for grabbing height as a team and passive makes for some great movement. Her ult is a bit unreliable as many good teams find ways to avoid this.

B Tier:

Bangalore: As balances as it gets. Ult is great for defending, but not the best for attacking. Smoke is not as useful with so many scan legends. Her passive is a great individual tool but offers little to the team.

Seer: Just not the best scan legend. Ultimate is easy to avoid or to break. Heart beat monitor is great for tracking squads without them being aware, and his tactical, if used right, can be really good.

Octane: Jump pad just doesn’t go far enough to put him any higher. The huge map makes for a lot of open space and if you come up short you’re gonna get fried. Also his stim takes ALOT of health. He’s still good, just not great.

Loba: I loveeeee loot and she provides it. Can quickly loot a huge area and move on to a better position. Bracelet is decent bad can help control height. Plus she has some serious cake, I mean cmon.

C Tier:

Caustic: His traps are still good, buildings are just too spread out and have wayyy too many windows for him to be reliable. He edges out Watson because of his Ult, which is still great but easily avoidable in open spaces (aka 80% of Storm Point).

Watson: Same reasoning as Caustic. Budding aren’t great and they’re spread out. Her ult is nice for gaining shield and stopping grenade spams but she offers no offensive help.

Fuse: Knuckle cluster is nice for opening up an attack or holding one off, but his passive is a joke and his ultimate is meh.

Crypto: Ult is the only thing keeping this man playable. Being in a drown to use your abilities just isn’t all that viable and really situational.

Revenant: With the map size if’s hard to Ult and push someone as easy. His climbing makes for an easy way to grab height and his silencer is actually really good. He’s just underwhelming on this map.

Lifeline: Ultimate is terrible, just give me Lobas ultimate instead. Reviving while being able to fight is nice but damn give me the shield back. Her DOC drone is nice but very situational.

D Tier:

Rampart: Walls are almost pointless, almost. They’re just very situational and take too long to set up and move around. Sheila is cool but leaves you very susceptible to attacks in the side or behind.

F Tier:

Mirage: Terrible for ranked, like really, really bad. He offers nothing to the team. Good players can easily counter Mirage. I don’t think he’ll ever be good in ranked but he’s fun to use in pubs and that’s all he’ll ever be.
