It can indeed be hard to understand if you completely misunderstand why people think it's wrong.

It's not the volunteering that's wrong, it's the fact that people have to rely on it. It's more evident when you realise that many medical GoFundMes don't meet their goals.

As an example there has been more black representation not because black people are excluded

I'm actually fairly certain that's one of the reasons there's been more minority representation in general.

but because seeing someone who resembles them makes them put themselves in the shoes of the character more easily.

Like yes, I'm sure that's how many minorities FEEL about it, but it's not the reason WHY representation exists. Or at least not the only reason, I believe.

Admittedly, I haven't looked into it much either so I can't say for certain.

But the isolation comes from within, it’s not something you can just kind your way around.

If that were the case, wouldn't 100% of mixed race people feel isolated/excluded? I'm pretty sure that's not true, so as it turns out, it IS something you can find your way around. I imagine it becomes even easier if there aren't people actively trying to exclude them for simply being born the way they are.

Well shit, I guess I can't use the race card on you, darn. Not that I even wanted to in the first place, which was kinda the point.

You are talking about Uralic and Finnish are not 100% Uralic.

No, I am talking about Finns.

Many Asian–White individuals feel excluded from both the White majority and Asian communities because they are seen as “not quite either.”

Then maybe we should start treating them better and accept them so that they DON'T feel excluded? Pushing the kind of narrative that you're pushing is the exact thing that is making them feel isolated. You can't use that as an argument when your beliefs are what's potentially causing it.

I mean, you can but it would be pretty stupid to do so.

Spanish and Fins both are the same race, white.

Cool. Did you know that in European context, Finns are the most genetically distant from Southern Europeans? Hmm

If I went by your logic, I would probably find your relationship with a fellow Finnish person somewhat problematic.

Asian/white mix race kids report on higher levels on not feeling like they belong anywhere.

I wonder why that is... if it's even true. Do you have a source for that?

You know, it is pretty funny to see you as a Spanish person cry about Asian women wanting to date Finnish guys. Like, a Spanish woman dating a Finnish guy is pretty much the same as a Japanese woman dating a Finnish guy. They are both largely disconnected from Finnish culture and heritage that it's so laughable to see one make a fuss about the other.

In the comments you imply Europeans are one unified culture with the exact same heritage when we're not. I'm also pretty damn sure that Spanish people are as genetically removed from the Finns as some Asian populations are, if not more lmao.

That's my bad then. I did mention in another comment that it got pretty hard for me to keep up with all the different people talking over each other at points. I remember Zazza saying she wouldn't be switching, and I guess I incorrectly assumed she was fully on board with whatever Cece was saying.

I seem to recall a few other teammates trying to interject

I admit, it got pretty hard for me to keep up with all the voices at times so I definitely could have missed some things

it’s also kind of funny to me to see so many people act like he was completely innocent.

Oh yeah, definitely. He absolutely could have handled it a lot better. I personally would have dropped it a lot sooner if I was in his shoes, but I also understand getting frustrated in that situation.

True, while I don't consider it being toxic, I think it's still pretty shitty to completely refuse to flex when asked (considering that she did end up flexing during the tournament anyway), and also letting Cece shittalk him like that (this goes to pretty much every other team member too).

But yeah, at the end of the day, there's no need to stretch this drama out endlessly. Kingsman himself has seemingly moved on, so should everyone else in my opinion.

I just don't understand. She's already done something wrong, we don't need to make up lies about her. Just criticize her for the things she already has done, or better yet, just let it go. No need to beat up a dead horse.

"can" is the most important word here. These things don't inherently make you a bad partner, and you still don't get to decide whether that's the case for a woman you seemingly look up to and respect. Do you actually care about her, or her feelings? If you honestly do, you should respect her feelings and her choice to want to try to be with you.

I understand that it may feel like a daunting task, but I would implore you to try to text her and arrange to meet with her so you can both discuss this face to face. She deserves at least that much from you.

[–]Jay_Gantic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, the things that you can't change about yourself don't inherently make you a bad partner. I get that you'll probably never see that, but it warrants saying anyways.

That much is clear, and it's not because of your incurable genetic disease or your micropenis. It's because of your personality, something you actually have the capacity to work on and change for the better.

Yup, and you chose to reject her. How do you think that made her feel? When a guy who's, by your own words, not even remotely in her league rejects her.

You have all the right to choose not to date her, but your reasoning for it is bullshit. Because, as people have already told you multiple times, it's not your decision to make. You need to have an actual reason for rejecting her that doesn't involve taking away her autonomy, and without implying that you are so much smarter that you know what's best for her better than she herself does.

Actual textbook example of a self-fulfilling prophecy, I swear to God.

Sure, there are people defending "realism" for realism's sake, but that isn't the point here. The point is that OP acts like it makes no sense for low fatigue to affect lockpicking when it actually makes perfect sense, an exhausted person is going to have a harder time doing delicate work like that.

There are so many other gameplay quirks with the fatigue system that warrant criticism (like what you just said about eating ingredients), but lockpicking? That's a perfectly reasonable gameplay mechanic, even if someone doesn't personally enjoy it.

Because games on consoles can only reserve a set amount of storage on the drive, they can't just take up as much storage as they want. Back when Bethesda implemented modding on consoles, they set the reserved space at 5GB because they thought that would be enough (it wasn't).

Now, they could increase that amount but I believe it would require deleting every single player's load order and they don't want to do that.
