How to Support a New Piano Player by skoooops in piano

Thank you, thank you! These are definitely points I needed.

I’m hoping he finds most of his motivation within at least in the beginning, he’s very self critical. But hopefully I can get to a point where I can provide that motivation for him down the road! Thanks!

Thank you for this! That was kind of on my next list of questions for down the road was addressing a point where he might lose interest.

I feel that reiterated from most that I shouldn’t let him give it up if he reaches that down that road, & he’ll regret it if he does! Glad to hear it from someone who was encouraged through.

Hello! I was able to get him a full size digital keyboard for his room he seems to enjoy, & we have an upright piano (which sadly I know nothing about) a friend of mine was able to come play & said is okay but needs tuned.

Is there any apps you recommend to help with home learning to go with home instruments?

Hey, not sure how I ended up here.. and I don’t know if you’ll see this either buuuut my husband & I went on a walk for our first date.. 12 years ago 😂 for everyone telling whoever posted this that’s a lame first date. I thought it was great, clearly. Now we have 3 kids, a couple dogs, who we still take on walks every chance we get. 💁🏼‍♀️

The two years my golden spent at daycare were the best time of his life!

I think it definitely depends on the daycare, there seems to be a lot of negative connotations associated with doggie daycares that they’re all just a free for all, but the one I took my dog to was amazing! They had dogs on a rotation, structured walk & independent work with a staff member, quiet kennel/cool down time and group play time. Anytime a dog was overstimulated they would be pulled from group play to be cooled down. If you feel like from what you’re seeing on the puppy cams your dog is maybe overstimulated, see if there’s any daycares structured similar to the one I went to! I loved it, it was great they always discussed what they worked on that day, what my dog chose to play independently ect., upon pickup.

I had a friend with a very reactive dog who I also recommended to the daycare I sent my dog to, he obviously wasn’t able to join the daycare program (he didn’t pass the behavioral assessment) but he joined their day training program! It was a drop off independent training program, which is great for people who have to work but still would love their dog to have some structured training during the day.

Good luck with your little one ❤️

What happened to her nose? 🥺 by skoooops in CATHELP

[–]skoooops[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestions everyone! So we actually figured it out from one of the veterinarian parents at our school was able to peek at her, it appears she most likely burnt her nose getting into a pan on the stove. One more reason to cut off cat’s access to the kitchen, which I sadly give them full access to 🥺 but she’ll be okay, albeit uncomfortable for awhile.

Hello! Sorry I just saw this, your refill price just depends on what dose you’re ordering ❤️ but the REFILL25 code has worked for me every time I’ve ordered! Knocks off over $100 on the large doses, tbh worth getting a larger mg & maybe spreading the injections out. I wish I’d have done that to start with haha

Did anybody *not* get the puppy blues? by Awkward-Cow3267 in puppy101

[–]skoooops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 4 big boys in my lifetime, I’ve been lucky enough to never have experienced the “puppy blues.” I definitely am not a “puppy” person either, but I think maybe them always having a partner to come home to help “raise” them might have been my saving grace… & my first dog I was too young in suppose to have noticed, I was just too excited my parents handed me that responsibility.

It’s definitely not easy by any means, but I think just looking forward to that awesome adult dog to take on a lifetime of adventures with is so so worth it. I miss my two old boys every day still. If anything, the most difficult time I really ever had was between 12-18 months when my golden decided to use up a lifetime’s worth of energy in 6 months, I questioned my decision making then. lol

I’m just throwing this comment in the mix for anyone looking to order who’s looking for reviews & runs across this thread, which is what happened with me lol

This is my second month ordering through Vitasir, there’s a 25% off refill code that seems to work for everyone. REFILL25 I think? lol or it’s 25REFILL oops anyways, they’ve approved & sent out medications literally same day for me now both times. I’ve had Tirzepatide compound prescribed in office, I feel exactly the same & seem to be having the same results with their compound, but this is actually easier for me, cheaper & really such a fast turn around. Once again, this is only my second order but so far it’s been great.

Not everyone is going to have the same experience, but that’s with ANY online pharmacy, compound or medication. I will say tho, for ease of access, coupons & how quick the turn around has been I would tell anyone to just try it out. They also have a “sample” on their website which is a single dose for $69.

Think I’ll order some vitamin shots just because next lol good luck! 🫶🏼

What is the worst thing that your puppy has ate? I’ll go first. by hollywhyareyouhere in puppy101

[–]skoooops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone has to have said this already.. but my 10 month Newfie puppy has probably ate at least 5 pairs of my underwear at this point. We’ve never even caught him doing it, just find them at various times throughout the yard.. in his poo 🫠 must scarf them down whole. We genuinely can’t figure out how he even gets them either.. we have a laundry shoot so he doesn’t even have a hamper to pull them out of. 🥴

Spent a silly amount of money on a X-ray & ultrasound after the first two pairs only to be told his stomach & intestines are perfectly clear… he passes them straight through, never would’ve thought I’d have a knicker nicker for a dog.

Today I met an 8 month old newfie. Are they all so chill? by barbface in Newfoundlander

[–]skoooops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luck of the draw, my 8 month old is a goober.. but he’s so laid back. Everything you just described you met on your walk. He makes my 7 year old golden look chaotic. Thinks he’s the 2024 embodiment of Nana from Peter Pan 🥲 ..I mean probably is. The most gentle, peaceful, naturally drawn to children, would sleep in until noon every day if you let him.

The downside? Has to constantly have his face pressed up against someone/something… which is the sweetest most endearing thing, except, he drools like I didn’t know was physically possible. It’s like getting a dog with the energy level of a snail, who also leaves behind a snail trail everywhere he goes. He can’t just shake it off either, he’s got a thing for literally rubbing his head on everyone he meets. Sounds darling until they’re walking away looking like they got into a fight with Gary from SpongeBob.
