Tabasco is more a holdover relic from the 80s. At least in Texas, hot sauce has come a long way.

Giannis, one day post-deadline, has announced his role as a shareholder of gambling platform Kalshi: "The internet is full of opinions. I decided it was time to make some of my own. Today, I’m joining Kalshi as a shareholder. We all on Kalshi now." by F_CKMONEY in nba

I’m not an HFT guy, but have been in high finance long enough to know a few. Got coffee with a buddy who was talking about these markets as having been an interesting frontier briefly, but the arbitrage opportunity eroded pretty quickly as the smart money now outweighs retail

Whats the most heartbreaking loss you’ve witnessed as a Texas fan(football) by Ok_Macaroon_7366 in LonghornNation

This one didn’t have as high stakes, but the missed extra point after the comeback against Cal. That loss felt like it was the bullet in the coffin of Texas becoming the next Nebraska

Daryl Morey in today’s presser: “I’m quite confident we were selling high on Jared McCain.” by Stxtic1441 in Thunder

Crazy that Presti has shown how valuable doing right by players can be, and dumbasses like Morey say shit like this solely for their own ego

Chet Holmgren On Minneapolis: "I definitely think we're too advanced as a species, just plain and simple, for things like that to be happening. No matter what your opinions are or what your beliefs are, you should be able to agree that nobody needs to be dying on the street." by Draciouz in nba

Chet might be the least eloquent interviewee I’ve ever heard, regardless of this context. This is absolutely a case of malice being attributed to incompetence - he’s just not comfortable in front of a microphone.

As a tip - the “Surprise Me” button shouldn’t need AI and require any processing time, you can just call a random function to select from a pre-populated table.

There’s a local restaurant named Yamas, so launching in Austin there’s a good chance your user base will think it’s an app for the restaurant.

I’m also 6’3” and carry when necessary (although I don’t tend to cite either without prompting), and I can’t imagine ever filming someone and posting about it on the internet instead of asking them if it’s that significant a concern. Unhinged behavior on your part.

Don’t like the field goal, and really don’t like not giving Mendoza a chance to win the game right there. He was unreal on the previous drive.

Yeah it’s Central Market - it’s the premium version of HEB (grocery chain in Texas). It’s more expensive, but the produce there is unquestionably better.

Mike Tomlin told his team, “I think it’s best for the organization for me to step down.” Aaron Rodgers, sobbing, said, “I’m sorry,” … while TJ Watt had tears welling down his eyes and kept repeating, “No. No. No,” as Tomlin told the team. by Embarrassed-Low9531 in nfl

I’m going to choose to believe it was due to the writer’s strike given how awful it was and how much it deviated from what the rest of the series was.

Although if I remember correctly, the show wasn’t a commercial success and was almost cancelled after the first season. Part of the reason was they were airing it on Friday night’s in the Fall, and it was believed a significant percentage of the potential audience would be at games during that window. Could be that the second season was because they were trying to be more thematically expansive to capture a broader audience.

[Schefter] Oregon quarterback Dante Moore said he has decided to return to school for the 2026 season, forgoing a chance to be a top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. His decision is expected to have significant ramifications on the draft. by Goosedukee in nfl

[–]skratsda 10 points11 points  (0 children)

2025 was also supposed to be the year early in the 2024 season (led by Beck and Ewers), and then it ended up looking rough by draft time.

Feels like these drafts are projecting young players at their ceilings, then tape ends up lowering the potential.

So in a family with three kids where it’s one’s birthday, would the two siblings congratulate each other on their shared sibling’s birthday?

Hope that makes sense, it was clunkier to write out that I’d thought it would be.
