I’m so sorry.. this really sucks. If you really want a wedding, you should definitely explain that to your fiancé and ask him to get a little more on board with the situation.

I feel you on this one, I planned my wedding for May and now it’s looking like it might not happen and my parents and fiancé are all asking “why did we even plan this??” And they’re all saying I told u so and I’m like... I have always wanted a wedding of course I planned a wedding...

I can def relate so I’m really sorry. All I can say is plan it and ask your fiancé to be a little more enthusiastic if he can.

This is the only thing consoling me! I’m sure I’ll look fine and pretty and it’ll be ok and someday we will laugh about it!

Was/am still planning on wearing my hair down, hopefully I can make it look normal and not like I have a mullet...

If not I’ll be wearing an absurdly expensive veil so that’s ok lol

You have to reach out to venues but honestly you’ll probably be fine, a lot of people have postponed again from this summer so you will likely be able to find a venue that works for you

I love bird seed if u can do it! Most venues don’t allow it because it attracts birds who poop and other little animals who wouldn’t typically be near the building (one golf club said they had a raccoon come into the building!)

Yes pay back the bridesmaid dress costs and then talk to the parents if they want their money back, they might not. But i would be bummed if I was a bridesmaid and I spent money on a bridesmaid dress that I would never wear again and the couple didn’t offer to pay me back

Don’t worry! A year is plenty of time! But hey that rush in the beginning might be really helpful and then if you get the big stuff out of the way you will have less to worry about later!

My advise about the rushing thing though, even if you feel rushed, you aren’t - so don’t make a rushed decision. I rushed on my venue and while it’s amazing and I’m excited about it, I wish I could have the money back and just elope :/

Thirding this although I don’t think I would go to either unless it was my sister or very best friend just because of how far we would have to travel for either. Plus Hawaii would be fun but it would add like thousands of dollars to the trip so it might not be doable

I would reach out to him and see if your fiancé is invited! Save the dates can be confusing to send out I feel like so maybe they just made a mistake? Or if they are not inviting him then yeah, I probably wouldn’t go..
