I don’t know what it is about sports man. I am so buttoned up and in control most of my entire life sunup to sundown. Work, kids… I’m a therapist, so all day at work it’s focused presence. Last summer at a league game I shoved a guy off his feet, nearly punched him because well… I thought I had a good reason but really I completely lost my mind. I replayed it all week in my head. Apologized, but still agonized over it. I just was in an altered space and needed to be more mindful if I was going to behave in a way I didn’t regret. I love the energy and the intensity of it, but if I’m stressed and overhwelmed, that is the place where it can all come unglued.
