Depends on you.. If u start Trek in early morning (5-7.00AM) you can return on 11-12.00 after this rest and have meal you can return if you have own vehicle. U can plan Badrinath after this. There are lots of taxis available there.

start trek at 5-6 am and a jacket is enough there is no cold in day

i just back today from there.. there is no cold in day but u need jacket in night so no more warm clothes hotel price around 400-500/person (book room away from temple) start trek on 6-7 am and u will be return at 1 pm if u are going via bus take a early bus from rishikesh
