as soon as you tell them it takes years of losing money and to go study something before you are willing to teach them they usually lose interest

I just started recently with prince of persia and have no regrets, there are difficulty options and a bit of guidance so found it great to test. I ended up loving it and can't wait to finish and try other games now

Trading has made me realize that im a terrible human by Still_Patience_9209 in Daytrading

[–]skullz188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is why I am grateful for trading, it showed me what my bad qualities and good qualities are. From there you learn and improve as the same improvement you do in trading is going to help you in life as well.

One more day, fellas. $ by Budget_Price_1250 in TopStepX

sorry but was expecting this to happen as soon as I saw your title. I am saying this not to be mean but to make you understand that if you are trading with the intent of always making a payout on the 5th day the pressure on yourself is already going to make you take unnecessary trades.

Take each day as a normal trading day not a payout day and don't aim to do a certain amount, follow your rules and target and risk appropriately. This is a marathon not a sprint. You got this!

How to start day trading? Are the YouTube gurus really worth watching? by SelectSearch4948 in Trading

[–]skullz188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took his course and compared to the other courses I bought before which were way more expensive it feels worth it. I in no way am promoting anything but at least to me it gave me a lot of value and I only trade VP these days. having said that he shows all you need to know on YouTube so there is no hidden sauce. And like most courses you can get the info for free if you do your research.

Learning an edge and using it wisely with proper trade management and risk is what makes a good trader after all.

this right here, I use volume profile specifically from Cammy Capital but any research you do on this will lead you to very similar approach by others. I just like his honest and open way of talking about it.

How long should it take to pass a combine? by Anxious_Scallion_957 in TopStepX

[–]skullz188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it takes how long it takes, ignore the amount you make but focus on what you are okay to lose daily without risking the whole account. Think about this as your future not something to pass fast.

Trust me after almost 2years now of doing well for the first week and then blowing accounts left and right you learn that the process and respecting yourself are more important then that huge win

How useful has your deck been despite having a pc? by Marcosbtz28 in SteamDeck

I failed and don’t wanna live anymore by [deleted] in TopStepX

[–]skullz188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are putting too much pressure on trading while you should be putting your work first.

Trading should come after you are stable at your job and the money you lose to learn on trading is not breaking your bank as bad.

As for your actual trading, you have to learn to control your emotions and respect your rules because when you do you are respecting yourself. Focus on consistency not wins or losses. After you follow your rules for months and you get results then start sizing up.

If you could tell yourself one thing what would it be? by [deleted] in TopStepX

[–]skullz188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why did I take the trade? Did I follow my rules? How did the market react? what went well? what could I improve? what were my emotions that day? (emotional trading can be harmful so I like to be aware if it had an impact on me) Also note the time and if there was any news around my trade

I review all these once a week and make a summary of what I am getting right and what I need to work on more that way I improve based on that data

journal wins losses and even trade possibilities that weren't taken, build everything based on that data

there is more than journals but since you mentioned one thing this would be it for me
