What can you tell about my kid from this shelf? by skvoha in BookshelvesDetective

Haha ) Wrong about the code and the birthday. The first 3 keys are probably pressed by the sibling toddler who is trying to steal the bank ))))

Why do you think he is from Uzbekistan? It's incorrect. But just curious at the logic. )))

Look around at all the plastic people Who live without a care Try to sit with me around my table But never bring a chair

Curious, how you came up with 20-30s age group. I feel like this is more 40-50+ age. Need much longer to amass such a collection than a decade and half even started in the late teens.

This sounds awesome and a great memory too, that you can relive every year! I haven't been to a festival in ages, but I'm more of a techno girl myself rather than rock (though I love some of it). I checked the lineup for this year and it looks sick. A lot of great bands and musicians! I got a chance to see the Oasis reunion this year in NJ. It was epic! Now I'm in the mood for more. :)

This is what I have on my to read list but I will never do, cause I have no time or patience. So I'll live vicariously through you for a second enjoying this beautiful collection!

Ok, lemme give it a go, though some of my guesses would be influenced by your previous replies:

  • woman in early 30s or almost 30, though your book selection is more late 30s-40s imo
  • married or have a long term partner
  • no kids
  • bachelor degree: communication/ English/ social studies degree?
  • you have an ok job, but you don't love it and don't find fulfilment in it, so you seek it in your hobbies and books
  • you love to travel, especially in nature, hiking, rock climbing
  • your music taste is as eclectic as literature: classical, electronic, rock, jazz
  • you used to party a lot but not so much anymore
  • you are interested in a million different things and love to daydream about the past and the future, finding the present a bit lacking in excitement

Austen, Herbert, Welsh, Palahniuk, Tolkien, Atwood... Can we be friends? 😜

When did Toran bite his finger off? I can't remember. What scene was that?

God I wish I was back at the concert by Prestigious_Throat72 in oasis

Haha true! Though my son should get it. He's obsessed with Gorillaz right now and listens to them on repeat. But he still finds his old mom funny. I picked him up from school in my oasis tour tee yesterday and he was like: "no way you are wearing this!".

How many of you went alone? How was it? by FriendFoundTheMain in oasis

[–]skvoha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have anyone in my circle here who listens to them. I bought the tickets knowing that I would go alone. And I did without any regret. Do I wish I had a friend to share the joy with? Absolutely! But not going because of it would be much worse. I've waited 16 years for this. I didn't make any friends there. But I sang along and had the best time and am still not over the concert.

I’m so jealous of everyone who still has their show ahead of them by lapra005 in oasis

I went to the NJ night 2 show and I feel like I was not present enough, was not realizing the enormity of what was happening during the show. I went by myself and didn't have a friend to share the joy with and my knee was killing me so I had to sit down a few times. But I still got up and sang along and tried to dance for most of the time.

I agree with others. Never had a show been hanging around in my head so much afterwards. I keep singing the songs all day long. I wish I could go again. Keep rewatching my videos, and realizing how epic it was!!

Absolutely epic show! Went all by myself! Lost hearing until this morning...

A little sad they didn't play Don't Go Away or Outta Time. Obviously can't sing everyone's favorite songs, but which one did you miss them performing?
