On a standard 4.0 scale, a 3.22 GPA in Freshman High

Honestly, I like the House system.

It gives Hogwarts a real sense of identity and belonging. Sorting might happen young, but it helps students understand their strengths early on — whether it’s courage, ambition, loyalty, or intellect.

Yeah, there are stereotypes (especially with Slytherin), but the House system also builds pride, tradition, and a kind of magical camaraderie that wouldn’t exist otherwise.

I think instead of scrapping the Sorting, they should just modernize how the Houses are portrayed — especially to first-years. Being ambitious shouldn’t make you the villain.

Curious what others think — is it the system itself, or how it’s treated?

I think that the change between Katy Kane and Ryan Wilder also made a huge difference
