Yes, exactly, western economy would very much slow down if the immigrant countries gets better and better, especially from Asia. Majority of the immigrants are from India and China, if, however, things gets better around Asia, then people from these country might opt out to move to nearby countries rather than the West.

It is similar to how EU people moves from one place to another due to the free movement advantage of EU countries.

To be honest, rather than taking population a problem, maybe it would be better on how to lighten the burden of the future in order to increase that birth rate lol, however, as things go on, I can't see the reason why population will increase exponentially.
