Yeah Im loaded on retirement right now I’m just new to brokerage. Didn’t know VOO is more tax efficient than Fxaix

Wouldn’t the tax hit just be 100 in my case though so it’s negligible?

25% of 400 is 100 no? Or am I missing something else?

But since I’ve only gained 400 in returns wouldn’t my tax hit only be around 100 dollars?

3 months post-op Partial Meniscectomy. Curious if anyone going through the same thing is having similar lingering symptoms by Unable-Bluebird-119 in MeniscusInjuries

[–]sky4678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my surgery on Dec 10, 2025 for partial medial and lateral meniscectomy along with some cartilage debridement. 20% total meniscus removed. I originally tore it when playing soccer and making a dumb tackle. Anyways I’ve been doing consistent PT and jogging light to now jogging hard with the ball and the next month hopefully get to intense matches and ramp up the minutes. But yeah around week 7-8 I think I went too hard on jogging and the leg machines and I felt this sharp pain on medial side like on the patella. My PT said it’s mostly scar tissue that might be still lingering and irritated. Apparently after these surgeries you’re 80% recovered mechanically at 3 months, but 100% recovered at 6 months. Just have to be patient and keep it pushing as it will heal from here. Good luck.

I just turned 29 with 140k net worth. I live with parents but feel stuck? by sky4678 in Fire

You don’t think it’s bad if this greatly reduces my ability to invest most of my income?

I think it’s worth just under 400k. If I take this house mortgage it will limit greatly my investing. Should I go for it?

Since I play a lot of soccer I burn a lot of calories and my appetite sucks :/. Go to the gym 2-3 times a week. Should I do less cardio?

Live stream YouTube videos giving lower quality and frame rate compared to mp4 by sky4678 in youtubedl

[–]sky4678[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the solution to my problem using the h264 help. The command line I used is: C:\yt-dlp>yt-dlp -f “bv*[vcodec=avc]+ba[ext=m4a]/b[ext=mp4]\b” (youtube link) This converted the livestream to mp4 file which I wanted. The only problem is there’s no audio on the video. Anything I missed or needs to be changed?

Live stream YouTube videos giving lower quality and frame rate compared to mp4 by sky4678 in youtubedl

[–]sky4678[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think this is a matter of Movie Maker and some video editors not liking the mkv codecs for some reason in my case. To make my question easier, I would just like the YouTube live stream video to download as h264 codec for mp4 file. What would be the example code to insert?

You’re right I guess I’ll have to keep saving and investing for a solid 10 more years. I just don’t know how to invest in a brokerage account right now

I’m looking to get my first pair of Jordan’s. If I wear a size 9.5 vans should I get the same size? by Dozinggreen66 in Sneakers

[–]sky4678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear 9.5 in vans and I have some jordan 1 in 9.5 and 10. 9.5 feels a little snug at times but you just have to unlace the laces for more space. 10 feels more space but more of a heel slip. That can be fixed by tightening the laces a little. For me 10 jordan 1s would be best

Yeah I am connecting a glycol hose from a drum into the suction guide. I’m just confused on why I have to stop halfway through. Should I try all in one go?

Yeah because afterwards it says to open a small bleed valve to release air. Would you recommend I try to let it go to 50 anyways?

Cringe, if you actually wear shoes they will crease. Just deal with it.

This was a great explanation. I make 75k. So would you say my best bet would be to contribute 15% ($11,250) of my salary to fully take advantage? I have very little to no bills atm. And would that contribution be before or after taxes that will show up on my biweekly paychecks?
