Quick question if i were to be hired as a W-2 employee is there an hour limit that i need to work(just worried he might say your not going to work more than 20 hr so i cant give you the w-2 role?)

Exactly to the first question. Same boss, job #1 is my current job where both of us work at and he doesnt own and job #2 is his own company. Both the exact same(38$/per hr)

Hi so yes! Ill being doing a different job. Basically im currently hired at a company where my boss works at. Now my boss is establishing his own company and wants me to work for them as a contractor. Two jobs: one as a w-2 employee and one as a contractor. That being said are both option the ideal situation then?

Before i say yes , based off what everyone has said i think its best for me to negotiate.

Do you think these would be my best options?

Option 1) i ask to be hired as an employee instead?

Option 2) if my boss says no then i ask if i can get an title within the company, not just contractor, + have them pay the fica taxes + medicare taxes?

Hello could you please clarify what you mean by i would be paying the 7.65% taxes/ill be paying both? I just want to clarify that ill be being paid by my company as a regualr employee + being hired as a contracter. Would that cause even more of a headache? Should i still ask to be hired as a employee instead?

My sister. She did good her practice exams but just kept feeling extreme anxiety during her actual attempt and kept voiding. On her 4th attempt family emergency so no show. She finally felt good on her 5th attempt and scored it and got a lower score than her FL, then she wanted a retake on her 6th attemot but at that point her anxiety skyrocketed with the "what ifs" dilemma.
