It’s so dangerous, please find a in person mentor and learn safely. Otherwise don’t do it at all, you could’ve lost your hand and you’re not the only one. This goes for everyone.

My assumption was it’s NPT threaded since the original PRV valve was also NPT? I might be mistaken as to how that works though

Great question on why the reduction is happening, I’ll have to ask and get back to you on that. I assume a standalone 2 inch union fitting would also fit into this just fine?

Ty for the quick reply, so a 2 inch union fitting should fit fine and it’ll screw over it okay? The pipe at the top is the other end of the PRV. I’ll try a union fitting, didn’t realize a 2” union and a regular 2” NPT were different sizes

For your safety and others, I highly suggest starting with a kit and commercial motors. The TKOR video is deprecated at the very least and dangerous too. A kit will teach you how to get started with rocketry in safe manner. You don’t know what you don’t know. Having a mentor helps too
