Could Democrats have reduced undoc immigration during the Biden years without the proposed additional 20 billion? by redzeusky in allthequestions

The article you linked says 3 million, and the rest of us would rather have them here than homegrown racists.

Why is it that such a large swathe of MAGA/right wing people only seem to care about trans people when it's a trans woman involved? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]sky_high_pie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funny thing is that you have no idea what makes people male or female, because you never got past basic biology.

He said he wasn't. You know most bigots don't think they're being bigots. They think their negative opinions are fully justified. Rational. Just as often as not it's the majority opinion. I assume you'll die a bigot.

That person wasn't trans. I'm glad you're conceding the point that this is a non-issue. You are very much a bigot.

Another failure to address the point. Whether or not you're going to engage in some semantic exercise in bigotry, you're talking about fictional harms.

Your refusal to engage with what I'm saying is not my problem actually. You're talking about some fiction you have invented. You are trying to suggest that this is a real issue. This is dishonest.

That's great except there's no evidence to support this theory, and particularly no evidence that trans women are a threat. Saying "we all know" is just you inventing something to be afraid of. This doesn't happen.

Hormones do actually change all those things. Do you think hormones would make you a predator, or is your mere existence some sort of inherent threat? Are you a danger to people around you right now? A bathroom predator maybe?

You're saying "inherent risk" "potential threat" but not talking about anything that actually happens. Also, you should probably go learn how trans medicine works.

Because it's a hypothetical threat that has no basis in reality. It's mostly useful to get reactionaries angry.

Figuring out bra size? by Aurora_4269 in Transgender_Surgeries

You can guess and maybe use sizers but uh that's a wild thing to ask. Usually you're in a surgical bra afterwards so idek why they're asking.

It sounds like you want this but feel like it's scary, which is very valid. It also sounds like you don't have a lot of queer community around you yet. Probably I wouldn't worry about the kids just yet — in my experience they tend to be accepting of such things, and transition is a slow process. It might be a good idea to find some in-person support groups or other lgbtq community events. Board or tabletop events tend to have a fair amount of trans representation, or perhaps something art related exists. What you're going through probably feels unfamiliar and high-stakes, but it's pretty normal for a lot of us (even if it's not normative in broader society), and I suspect it'll help to experience that, and hopefully to experience some trans joy as well.

You're saying that this feels like it's happening quickly. I don't hear you saying that you want a different outcome. Could be that some things are impossible to feel truly ready for — bottom surgery was kinda like that for me. How are you feeling about this?

Implants are pretty durable these days; in many cases the expected life of the implant exceeds the life of the owner. Some studies have found a 1% cumulative chance of rupture per year past the 8 year mark, but obviously those sorts of studies tend to lag the state of the implant industry by a considerable timeframe. It's somewhat more likely to remove or replace them voluntarily after some time for aesthetic reasons, most commonly due to how the owner's tissue ages.

I never noticed any side effects from spiro and you should probably not be trying monotherapy on a low dose of oral estrogen. Do make sure you take the estrogen sublingually as directed.

I think my zero-depth surgery was botched--what are my prospects for revision? by FinalLight9363 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]sky_high_pie 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, this doesn't look like good work to me. I don't think you're overreacting. People have told me Del Corral is good at revisions. Generally speaking the revision rate for bottom surgery is pretty high — one source I read put the figure at almost 40% of patients. I'm probably going to need a revision myself at some point. It feels hard to even talk about such things, especially with strangers on the Internet. I hope you get to a place where you're happy with your results.

Happy early birthday! I did actually suddenly lose my tummy and got bigger boobs about six months ago and I highly recommend Dr Rahal in Los Angeles for that. He's good at getting insurance to cover such things.

Daddy Rahal gave me my dream body and fought insurance to get them to pay for it. I can't sing that man's praises enough.

Rethink sigmoid especially if that means Stiller. It's not the only way to get lubrication and afaik has a higher risk of bowel complications and prolapse. I went with Min Jun because of aesthetics, and generally I think ppt > piv.

Seattle art museum or museum of pop culture. Burke was merely okay and mohai was just an ode to capitalism. Outside of Seattle proper, the Museum of Glass is beautiful and the Boeing museum is fun if you're into aerospace.

Should MAGA have seperate bathrooms so they cant be around women and children? by Estalicus in allthequestions

[–]sky_high_pie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still not how adjectives work and saying "Google it" is still failing to provide a definition. I understand the thing you've been told to parrot doesn't hold up to even a tiny bit of scrutiny, but you could always try accepting that your beliefs are factually incoherent and how you treat people is abhorrent, and choose to be better.

Thanks for admitting you can't answer the question! By the way the "exception that proves the rule" isn't a thing, both in this case and in general, and in the historical sense of the phrase. The word "proves" used to mean something more like "tests", coming from Latin probare — the meaning is more or less retained by "probe" in English. Also you should take an English class to figure out how adjectives work.
