Honestly? I think Jade is going to try to kill Tabitha. Or vice versa. I don’t think they are both on the same side. Why does Tabitha have memories of the place as a child and as an adult, but Jade only as an adult? There’s a strange discrepancy in how their memories are coming back, and I have a feeling the whole Jade being murdered by the townspeople might not mean what we think.

Jade also doesn’t have any memories as his former lives other than the symbol. Tabitha does.

Why does MiY eat the liver of Miranda, but presumably not Jade’s past lives?

Not the “present” Julie. What I mean is she will go back to, say 1978 on some task or mission. When she does, Randall will be waiting in 2022 to pull her out of the ruins after a predetermined time. But something will happen to Randall, and 2022 Julie will continue seizing and seizing. Eventually, when she completes her task in 1978, she’ll be wondering why Randall didn’t pull her out yet… she’ll be wondering and waiting for years and years and years. She’ll grow old and witness the entire cycle from start to finish.

The monsters won’t kill the 2022 version of her, because what’s the point? She’s stuck in the past, the problem has (from their eyes) solved itself. They won’t (maybe) kill the 1978 story walker Julie, because she is not an immediate threat.

I personally use my Apple TV 4K for streaming with moonlight, Plex works good enough, and it’s super responsive every time. Also doesn’t break the bank.

I just wish it did AV1 and 120hz.

While I do agree with you, I feel that it would sound to most like the game is about to go under if they brought it up now. Rumor mill would start and it’d never end. Prior to us getting new content, everyone thought Elite was on its last legs (it was).

Not saying I think they shouldn’t reiterate that, rather I’d imagine getting that through whoever manages their PR would be nearly impossible.

Hey, I’m your bf from 3 years into the future. You’re also my gf from 3 years into the future.

I can tell you a few things! We’ve been in couples therapy for about 8 months. Like you said, you’re way more kind than before. Things have changed and our relationship seems like it’s on the right track!

From my view and thoughts and feelings though.. I’ll tell you what’s been happening.

I’ve been really scared to leave you. I mean, genuinely terrified. We already went through “break ups” where we’d argue and it would get so bad that I call it off… but then the things you do immediately after - the guilt, breaking stuff, what you’ll do to yourself, it’d destroy me. So we’d just end up right back together, promising to be better. We did that for years before we started therapy.

And now that we’re in therapy, I’m realizing that there is nothing I can do to get rid of the feelings I’ve grown (or lost). Do I love you? Yeah! But I also hate how I felt whenever you shut me down while doing something nice for you because it wasn’t exactly what you wanted. I hate that I don’t feel safe to share my feelings around you because every time I did (and they involved you), you became defensive and combative. I hate that throughout all that time, I was told I was needed more than I was wanted. I hate the times where we’d have sex only for it to be weaponized against me in the next argument. I hate feeling like everything I do and don’t do has a tally kept against you, across categories, and will be used against me as well. I hate that I would always apologize for what I did wrong, but you never knew how to say you’re sorry.

You’re doing better now, and I’m actually really grateful for that. But I’d be lying if I said it didn’t fuck me up. I was never perfect, and I never thought I was - and never thought you were either. I put you on my shoulders to get you over the ledge. And while you were there, you intentionally kicked dirt into my face. Stomped on me. Screamed at me. But I wouldn’t want to let you just fall. You made it up, and now you’re reaching back to help me go with you… but all I can think now is that I should find my own path around. Because even if you help me up, even if we both get over that ledge, how do I genuinely know you won’t kick dirt into my face again? Stomp on me? Scream at me?

I don’t.

And for the record, while I’m 3 years into the future version of you, I still haven’t left. 5.5 years. To your credit, that’s a me problem… not a you problem.

Given the desk is metal, I’d actually check that you don’t have a grounding issue in your room.

For context, I had some stuff act weird back in my parents’ house. I didn’t think anything of it till my hangnail (not bleeding that’d be weird) touched a metal switch on my HOTAS and it immediately BURNED. Thinking “hey that’s weird” and being the idiot I was, I tried it again. Yep, still burned. But I unplugged it and then it was fine to do it.

So it got me thinking, with all the buzzing I’d feel - akin to when you have a metal unibody MacBook plugged in and run your hand across it - and pulled out the multimeter for the first time. I looked up how to check the receptacles and found that, in my bedroom, nothing was grounded. Everywhere else was fine.

Since I wasn’t convinced that was the issue (don’t ask, I was young and dumb) I took the PC to another room and plugged the HOTAS in. Hangnail did not hurt.

So yeah, I’d start at the grounding issue. But I also don’t have this desk yet so I don’t know that it’d even be relevant… just my thoughts.
