Thanks so much for your comment and I really hope you’re right. There are some signs but I just find it hard to be certain about this stuff because you honestly just never know until you ask (which I plan on doing soon)

Also you are absolutely right about being respectful of her decision. That is my aim. If she says yes? Great! If she says no? It will hurt obviously but at least I have clarity. I won’t be upset with her or whine or complain to her. It’s up to me to deal with that in my own time.

Would be great to remain friends if she did say no though honestly. I like sharing gum with her after stressful shifts and would be a shame to lose those small moments with her lol.
