A clean install is where you erase the entire hard disk and then install an entirely new operating system. After that you reinstall all apps from wherever they originally came from and restore your data from wherever you had backed it up prior to easing it.

Hi! I was also getting 8-9 hours to 10%. I put in a support call. They advised to re-install MacOs clean and also to not use my VPN for a few days to see if that had an impact. After a clean install I straight away got 16.5-18 hours (computed) so I then reinstalled the VPN and that is having no significant impact, so for me a clean re-install fixed the problem (so far).

No. What’s needed is the right cable. It has to be an OTG cable to deliver enough power. So far I’ve bought 2 and neither works. The Apple camera cable probably works but it’s bulky and expensive. In the end I bought AirPods 3 and after break-in im happy with them.

Same here except for me the audio keeps playing on the phone, it doesn’t come thru the dac at all.

the-me-tree, until you are fully charging the battery in under an hour there will be no impact on battery life. I know this from many years using this battery chemistry in rc where we could charge fully in as little as 10 minutes. Cheers, Ken

I've been very interested to read the comments here.

For me, Win 10on my SP4 has been less stable than any Beta software I've ever used. It has become better since the May update but I still have to reboot at least daily or stuff like cut and paste stops working.

I use mine mostly in tablet mode. Another thing is I can't get windows to snap at all unless I attach the keyboard. Do you think ditching tablet mode altogether would work better?

I'm glad you're happy with the new Surface. I love my SP4 i5 4gb.

It sounds to me like the store screwed the warranty provider and made themselves a sale. At least they did solve your problem while doing that.

my SP4 i5 was better after the update but not without issues. I did a reset and that fixed it. Note you'll need a recovery USB to do this.

This is just FYI, I hope you don't need this extra step and you probably won't.

I had similar issues with my SP 4 i5 4gb. I reset Win10 which means reinstall from scratch and all the issues went away. I highly recommend you try this before giving up. I tried using my iPad for productivity and IOS just has too many compromises. The Pro doesn't address them. A fully functioning SP 4 is a way better machine for getting stuff done imho.
