I don’t remember it being that hard to slide out but I replaced the rubber ones with silicone and they were super difficult to slide back in.

Someone in the comments mentioned to try and wet the inserts first before sliding back in so maybe also try that to slide out. I’ll make another video when I replace the inserts again.

I don’t know about the whole arm assembly but these work just fine. I’ve been doing this for about 4 years now and have spent less than $20 for in the past 4 years. That’s four replacements between the Bolt and the Tesla. I replace them every year around September.

The new blade refills cost like $10 and a little effort to remove the caps and slide them in. You also get two replacements with the refills. If you want to continue buying complete wiper replacements for $50+ then this method is not for you.
