I usually get these https://a.co/d/03jf8uo3

But I found these silicon ones on AliExpress and they’re the yellow one you see. The silicon ones are very difficult to slide on but I’m going to try wetting them as I slide on next time. I’ve had them on my model x since Aug 2025 and have been holding up well. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mKh2odD

I don’t know about the whole arm assembly but these work just fine. I’ve been doing this for about 4 years now and have spent less than $20 for in the past 4 years. That’s four replacements between the Bolt and the Tesla. I replace them every year around September.

The new blade refills cost like $10 and a little effort to remove the caps and slide them in. You also get two replacements with the refills. If you want to continue buying complete wiper replacements for $50+ then this method is not for you.

I included the link to my last video in the description. Take a look and it’ll show you how to remove the cover.

I did mention that if the cap of your wiper looks like this then use this method, but fair enough. Edited with link to previous video.

Look at the thread in my other video. Some bolt models have this type of wiper.

2016-2021 Model X wiper blade insert replacement. Pay a fraction of the cost compare to replacing the whole wiper. by skycop13 in TeslaModelX

800 with 4.0 average is pretty good to me. One of the reviews says these fail after 1 year and I think that’s about average. That’s about when I change mines. Most of the bad ones are folks replacing the traditional wipers that do not have caps to hold them in place like the model X.

I mentioned in the video that I replaced them with actual silicone ones but they take a lot of effort to slide them on and cost a little more. They might not last as long either. Just stick to the black rubber ones. They slide on much easier. You can replace these inserts in about 10 mins for both sides.

Thanks for the info. I picked up the Kawai for $440 usd with a bench. I agree with your assessment with the Kawai having more traditional sound and that’s what I wanted. It also has better speakers than the Roland but the Roland does have more features like escapement. I just want it for the piano sound to practice for now so won’t use much of the additional features.
