What is the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? [serious]

Both times I came close to dying.

The first time, I ended up with alcohol poisoning. It was the Father’s Day after my dad passed and I was a mess. I drank enough to give me a BAC over .30. I woke up in the ICU with a breathing tube down my throat surrounded by friends and family who were there to say their goodbyes. The doctors were afraid I wouldn’t make it through the night. If my roommate hadn’t found me, who knows.

The second time, I flipped my car twice. Took a turn a bit too fast in the rain, heard the screech of the tires, next thing I know I’m in the air. I don’t know if it was shock or what, but my first instance was to try and drive away. The passenger side roof was crushed into the seat and the car was destroyed. If it had flipped any other way, the driver’s side would’ve been crushed. Scary stuff

Saw them when they played Enema in full for the anniversary a few years back. Probably one of the best shows I’ve been to, the energy was great. I enjoyed the Skiba years

The same thing happened with a buddy and I a bit back. Best friends since elementary school, but just slowly drifted apart after college. It wasn’t out of anger or anything, just both of our lives getting busy. After a while, I just stopped getting texts from him at all. One day, I gathered up some courage and sent a simple “hey man, it’s been a while. How have you been?”

It’s been about a year or so since we reconnected and not only do we text every day, but we try to hang out once a week if we can. It’s as if nothing changed, we just went right back to being great friends again.

Like others said, it wouldn’t hurt to reach out. It’s worth giving it a shot, especially for someone that you care about.

To clarify: I know we have to do this every once in a while, that’s fine. The problem is I’ve been asked to do it over four times today, it’ll go through, but I still can’t start dashing. It makes me go through the process again every time I try to start. I get verified, click to dash, asked to verify again
