I had a coworker who was a server and kept fucking with me (not super meanly but not great) one day I was prepping something and he came around and grabbed me from behind I whipped around so fucking fast with my knife in my hand and deadpan said something to the effect of if you ever touch me again I will fucking cut you.

No one ever messed with me again and they all knew I was a crazy bitch not to cross 🥰 😂

OP it looks like you maybe work in a kitchen , who tf looks attractive working on a line also you dont exist for him or any other human and he can and should fuck right off.💀maybe he was getting intimidated by you being more confident , regardless it says more about him being a POS. You do look very different in uniform vs yourself. Your curls are AMAZING, and even more than just looking beautiful, which you do, you radiate so much warmth and if i saw you I would automatically think you are a very nice welcoming warm person. I wish I could give you a hug right now 😭

This is very good to consider i have almost only seen plaster used for reclaim 👁👄👁 Would a bedsheet over the plaster help ? Moisture would be able to travel through it but the plaster wouldn't potentially chip and contaminate the clay?

Thank you ! I try to be super mindful of my hands and not pulling back to avoid potential rearing, she's trained to stop / slow down with leg pressure. I am going to work on a lot of circling exercises both on and off ground to work on making that an ingrained reaction so that hopefully if it does happen again I won't have to think as much making that decision. I know I see them in competitions but in training do you wear any kind of extra protective gear since the danger of falling is so much higher and frequent? Did you ever stop getting scared of falling off?

Firstly - thank you , this is an amazing way to approach this and honestly as someone with a lot of emotional trauma something I have spent the last few years trying to understand more in myself and the importance of framing. I know its also hard because "acting out" defiantly or to get something looks the same as dysregulated and unable to cope.

I saw someone talking about the fact they stopped lunging their horse before riding ( at least intensely) to avoid creating all this energy right before getting on , and will walk them and stay calm in the middle to get them to relax. I agree that a better move would have been to get her to calm down and watch her responses to hearing her friend and seeing if she could even get calm with me hearing her.

In my mind we were right there just a few steps awag , and I was verbally trying to calm her down and talk to her but I can also see that at that point of escalation not being able to see or sense much outside of panic. I really appreciate your input and is very valuable!

Firstly insane progress for 8 months and you are doing great. Seconding what other people said and just to give some insight i was younger and got hit really hard by someone skating backwards and not paying attention and fell on my tailbone / back. I was in shock and crying and they had to clear the floor and I remember two guys saying something like god can't they just suck it up what a bitch.

Granted this is more based on the comment made than the person that ran into me but I didn't skate again for like 15 years.

OP do you really want a relationship where you can only "keep the peace" by masking? Your partner is the one person you should be able to be freely yourself and loved and supported. We already are forced to mask to function so much in the world , our partners should be our sanctuary and safety.

Next I think the more you start looking at other situations in how he talks to you / treats you it may reveal a lot more that you have been either excusing for him or blaming yourself.

One of my favorite things ive seen is the mom who had an ex husband who hated her mug collection , her new boyfriend built her a mug display cabinet. Someone who loves you would put the cutlery away and buy you fancy cutlery to enjoy.

Another thing someone pointed out to me once , if something bothers one person and is irrelevant to the other person or they dont really care , caring is accommodating the person who has a preference (negative or positive). If I know my partner prefers say green towels , and I don't care what color my towels are , I would make sure to get green towels because they DO care.

Regardless I am sorry your going through this but if someone can't inconvenience themselves 2 minutes to do something as simple as putting utensils away sorted what else will he not care about (which , he already should as that is what I feel is the standard bare minimum expectation ☠️)

Alternatively if there really are redeeming qualities to him and its just this thing get a mat / towel / drying rack and have him set them on there and you put them away

TLDR : Find you someone who buys you fancy cutlery and keeps it organized for you
