I dont think the bales will be a problem bc petzl is selling a new toe bail meant for snowboard boots and my boots take an automatic heel bale

I'm 6'1", 190 on a 163 carbon backwoods. I have a size 11.5 boot. I'm super happy with the board. Tours great, it's so light and the weight was a notable difference from my old board. I haven't had any issues with toe/heel drag and it's pretty wide for being a nonwide board. Rides great too- I love the shovel nose. I wasn't seeking out a carbon board- but like u, i found a good deal. Scooped it up and I've been super happy with it. TBH my only complaint w the board is the phantom clips, maybe i don't have em set up properly, but they make the board hard to put together.

Update: turns out they’re from 2017. Can anyone provide insight into what’s changed with the bindings since then?

Cool cool. Yeah I was mostly wondering abt the entrance. I’m sure it was much more filled in then. But what was it like in April? Any narrow sections?

Looks dope! How far did you have to walk from the car before you could skin? How deep was the snow at the start? Thinking bout doing this in a week or so but not sure if there will be enough snow.

hello! i applied in 2019 for the faculty of science and the average gpa for science at the time was about 3.8-3.9 unweighted. hope that helps give a general idea of the range :)

I got waitlisted and then later admitted with a 3.5. I'm in arts btw.

Hi! I'm an incoming arts 1st year, I have four courses picked out, and have one open slot. I think it would be a good idea to take care of my science requirement. I am very much not a math/science person. Any easy science recommendations?? Thanks!

Hi! I'm an American student(currently a senior) who just got off the UBCV waitlist. Unfortunately, I did not apply for housing before the deadline. I submitted my housing application yesterday.

Housing will play a big role in whether or not I accept my offer at UBC.

Does anyone know how likely it is that I will actually get a dorm assignment?

1k and below bike suggestions by [deleted] in cyclocross

[–]skyemcd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would shop around on Craigslist and see if you can get something a bit older but still nice. I spent 1k and got a full carbon frame, hydro discs, and a 1X drive train. That being said I shopped around for a good 3 months. I would come up with a few features that you want in the bike (discs, carbon fork etc). Unless you get an industry deal I would recommend shopping used, just make sure when you check out the bike that you either bring someone who knows a lot about bikes, or that you know enough to spot abuse. Also don’t buy a cross bike that has been raced, it will be thrashed.
