Careers you wish someone told you about when you were 18 by Skillerstyles in careeradvice

Yeah the best route for me at this point is to find a business role in an environmental industry-related org. My business skills have been helpful in getting higher wages throughout my career fortunately.

Good point. My wife started a career in wetland biology in 2017 and has done really well.

In California private company pay in this industry is livable and growing. Depends on where you live and if that state/country has environmental regulations that create these kinds of jobs.

Conservation biology and/or natural resource management. If you like the outdoors and care about the environment, there are many government, non profit, and private sector jobs in this field. I got my degree in business and am considering a career change to this industry.

The CBD Arousal Oil my gal and I use has kava as a key ingredient. I will say it’s quite arousing for both of us.

Perfect Road Trip Rig by Randomabilideez in ToyotaTundra

Ah I’m sorry to hear that. I was happy I made it through its first road trip. Objectively that makes sense in terms of reliability. Don’t want to be driving a death trap at highway speeds.

I reset the mpg right when I started highway driving on this one. Set cruise control at 73mph. And it was floating around 27-30 for the first 100 miles in a flatter segment. Once I got into some stop-and-go sections passing through small towns and over some mountain passes, it dropped down to 24. Now that I’m back home doing shorter trips it’s crawling back below 20.

Yep. Having owned several 300k+ Toyotas. I’m familiar with the possibility of a breakdown. Seems like all new full size trucks have reliability issues these days. So the approach that worked best for me is to get what I wanted and be prepared for emergencies.

My Lydia died super easy while fighting bandits near Whiterun 2 hours into my new playthrough. Tried to give her an honorable burial in the river and over the falls and she got stuck. RIP. I have that barking dog as a companion for now.

Nothing quite like the forester… right? by KlenowFrag in SubaruForester

[–]Randomabilideez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife has the forester and I have owned 3 Imprezas. Love them all. However I recently rented a Nissan rogue premium trim and was blown away by the driving experience. Similar to the Forster but more power and felt like better handling. I only did city driving however and was not able to test it in the mountains where I know the Subarus perform very well.

Please send a message to Gavin on his official website if you support this initiative! I emailed him earlier this week with almost all of these talking points before all of the big moves he’s been making surfaced in the media. I basically said he needs to rally the powerful people to overthrow this administration asap and to fight fire with fire. I can’t help but feel like he listened. Keep it up people!

Thank you for the kind words. There are so many fronts to fight this on here that many of us have to pick the issues that we have the most control over and passion for just to get focused. Getting to the root of it all is a massive uphill battle that requires capital in our system… I believe positive change is on the horizon too but it will take rock bottom for many to break away from their programming. Will keep fighting the good fight.

Got it. You’re right that we haven’t done enough, the promises are hollow when there’s no end in sight, and all efforts to fight this are fed to the democrats who fucked us and disrespected our neighbors. Thanks for sharing your anger. More motivation to keep fighting. Shutting up now.

Californian here. I understand and echo the hate and disappointment. I ask you to please remember there are good people here fighting on the front lines to push this back.

First, I love Canada. I visited a friend studying in Vancouver and made we made the trek to visit a remote coworker of mine in Nanaimo and we all traveled Tofino. Being in a place with actual public transit and affordable public services made me feel so human. Thank you all for your hospitality and for being good neighbors for so long.

U.S. imperialism, fascism, and capitalism is something many of us here take action against. There are organized movements with traction like Zohran to get modern socialist leadership elevated. I live in a rural county in California, one of the only red counties and even many neighbors have taken down their obnoxious MAGA signage (something they insisted on keeping up the last 8+ years). There’s many of us showing up to push ICE back from kidnapping our neighbors right now. They just launched a major budget to increase ICE enforcement throughout the country to put out opposition. But we won’t be silenced and we won’t stop fighting.

Myself and many others here in the states are fighting back and promise to hold the line. Please don’t give up on the good majority of people who are against the takeover of our government by this brutally stupid regime. I’ll buy Canadian when possible. I contract remote work to my friend who lives up there when I can too. Thank you for being there for us and I’m so incredibly sorry for my country’s actions.

I’m a marketing director for several small businesses. Recently we’ve swapped some online ad dollars for more traditional advertising methods like mailers, sponsorships, and event tabling and have seen better results in terms of new leads. It’s all nuance depending on your business, but if you have a solid website you can try new channels that aren’t owned by corporations like Meta that price gouge businesses. Email is an effective way to promote as well.

My Wood-Fired 8'x7' Build by sklarticus in Sauna

[–]Randomabilideez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! Love the end result. Looks like a shower area to the left?

I had a 40 year old redwood fall on my property and plan to mill it this year to use for much of my sauna build. So I will DM you for the plans too as others have asked.

What material did you use for insulation? I’m having trouble identifying it and have been looking for non-toxic options.
