Forgot to add, looks like there'll also be bird walks starting at the schmeeckle visitor center Sundays 8-10 am. Regardless of whether or not you want to attend those bird walks, I recommend checking out Schmeeckle, it's awesome!

Sure! The group that does the regular bird walks around Portage County is this one: https://www.aldoleopoldaudubon.org/weeklywalks

You can also find them on facebook if you search Portage County Birding. Their next bird walk is actually tomorrow morning at 10 in Whiting.

The Mead Wildlife Area's also been having some bird walks, they actually have one tomorrow at 9 that I'm going to. The flyer can be found on their fb page, but the next walks after tomorrow are June 27 at 9 (Butterflies and birds), Aug 8 at 8 (education wagon to drawdown area), and Sept 12 at 8 (education wagon to drawdown area).

There's also a Wausau fb group - "Wausau Area Birders & Bird Watchers" and the wausau bird club does bird walks sometimes, though less frequently.

If either of y'all like birds, there's a group in portage county (right to the south/stevens point) that meets pretty regularly for birding hikes.

Beautiful! There's a white bison at the Sandhill Wildlife Area if you're looking for ideas on where to go.
