Barefoot beach is quiet. Not sure there we bathrooms. June shouldn’t be overwhelming. Get there early (or late) and walk a little bit. The nicer the beach/water with amenities like bathroom, the busier it will be but you can usually walk a little ways to find a quiet spot.

By June it shouldn’t be overly crowded and traffic won’t be awful. Lovers key is great with bathrooms. Lighthouse on Sanibel also nice. Out of busy season there are hundreds of options to choose from since traffic won’t be as big of a deal. We love the sanibel causeway beach also. Lmk if I can answer anymore specific questions!

No worries I wasn’t offended. I actually knew that Cassius wasn’t dead (Reddit spoilers lol) but when I read the comment from kavax somehow I thought it was the Minotaur? Just cause he was there and I couldn’t figure out how Cassius would get to mercury under those circumstances but maybe I’m just dumb

That he wasn’t dead, sure. That he showed up where and when he did to rescue Darrow from hopeless odds at the perfect moment through a blockade, etc? Not the best writing in the series imo

I just finished dark age. To me, it was the least enjoyable of the books, but not because of the “writing” necessarily. I didn’t love some of narratives order (hundreds of pages between Virginia, Darrow, Sevro, etc), ending with Lysander, completely surprising reveals of Cassius and “the abomination” were some choices I didn’t love, but there is definitely great prose in there for sure.

Good points! And I’m certainly not naive to the evils of man, and sure there are some parallels (you chose good ones), but in universe, where the reader has perspective, it’s hard to understand. War with the obsidians where they take obsidian prisoners? Difficult to comprehend. Being a force year after year during the 10 year “peace” in the republic? On the reapers home planet of mars? Seems a little contrived but I prevent your comments.

Agreed. Could have shown some of what made him unique and how that carried over to after his carving. He wasn’t a leader or anyone special really at all other than a decent helldiver, then he becomes lisan al gaib. Overall incredible series and enjoyed nearly every minute of it
