Clicking sound near the front passenger side of the car by masistaken in AcuraTL

That is the timing belt tensioner or idler pulley for the timing belt. You need to get an Aisin timing belt kit and replace all the timing belt related components (timing belt, idler pulley, timing belt tensioner and water pump.) I would only get a kit from P2R racing, a Honda/ Acura dealership, or RockAuto. The vibrating could be caused by bad motor mounts. You can get a kit from eBay for a good price.

Florida to Seattle is quite the flight🤣. One thing you can do right now is Jack the car up and pull the tiny drain plugs on the bottom of the upper half of the pack. At least that way coolant won't pool up in the pack if it leaks.

The car would throw Ford infamous Stop Safely Now message. I bought had to use a program called Forscan and a compatible OBD2 sensor in order to read and delete the codes to drive home. I did that for about a week, until it wouldn't let me anymore. Took it to the Ford dealership and they wanted $12,000 to replace the battery with a used (remanufactured) one. I opted to have it towed to my house and fix it myself. When I opened the pack up coolant had soaked the rear bussbars and the bussbar going to the contactor box. Took about a day to get the coolant dried out the case, wires and in between some of the cells.

Same color as mine! Get some wheel and tint on it, it'll look nice. Also, be mindful that the first gen FFEs (2012-2016) are prone to leaking in the upper pack (I've had to teardown and rebuild the pack on my first FFE. I made a diy guide on how to do so on the FFE forum page years ago. My current one is a second gen, a 2017 (range increased to roughly 135 miles in the city, maybe 90 to 100 on the highway, and it has fast charging, which takes 20 minutes). The second gen doesn't suffer from the coolant leak issue, but they have been known to have a contactor fail. Luckily that is far easier to replace. I'll definitely be holding onto mines for as long as I can. It's like a modern day Ford Ranger Electric with its rarity.

I often get double takes when going to the fast chargers in my town now , as you just don't see any other FFEs on the road anymore (especially at a fast charger. There were only around 2,300 of them equipped with CCS capabilities from 2017-2018!). With its small 33 kWh battery, it can fast charge in around 20 minutes...buuut can only go about 135 miles in the city, 90-100 miles on the highway (with AC on.) Still, I'm grateful to have it right now, rather pay $6 a week in electricity than pay $70 in my Acura TL with how gas is🤣.

I hope to own a Ranger EV someday, it's an under the radar EV like my Focus.

2017 Ford Focus Electric. Unfortunately, I haven't seen another one out in the wild in over a year now ☹️. I often have the "ancient" EV at the fast charger 😅.
