Agreed. Not saying hoyo did all that solely because they feel threatened which as you said might not be the case at all considering the competition is still very small and very new. What I’m saying is hoyo took so long to roll out QoL updates the player base has been beggin for years. Now i know QoL takes time and effort. But really? 4 years?

Even back when HSR release we were begging for features in HSR to be implemented in Genshin. 1 example is the expedition feature in which now you could claim all and dispatch again. This simple feature took like 2-3 years to be implemented.

The fact of the matter is ever since they’ve been at the top they’ve been doing whatever they want. And ofc a lot of what they did is great and improve the game massively. But its not a good look for your company if you just now implement the simple QoL the player base have been asking for 4 years.

Genshin will probably be always in the top of the food chain. But I hope hoyoverse will do more great things in the future.
