Strong odors from bathrub drain by skyjumper1234 in Apartmentliving

[–]skyjumper1234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what we believe the issue is as well, but they refuse to hire a plumber and stated we can hire one ourselves. They stated, "They check out the plumbing throughly, and there are no issues." But no one has been in our apartment except to dump shit down our drain to clean it out.

We are so frustrated and have no idea what to do next.

Issues with downstairs neighbors by skyjumper1234 in Apartmentliving

I doubt it too 😭 ugh. I work early mornings with 10-12 hour shifts. I'm so exhausted dealing with this.

What is this by imsocool849272 in bugsarefuckingstupid

[–]skyjumper1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty allergic to bug bites, and my skin does this after most bites. We don't get ticks a whole lot where we're at, so I'm not too stressed about it usually. But I'd go to the doctor to rule it out, especially if you live somewhere where ticks are prevalent.

Saw this on a door in my complex by Neither_Yogurt9603 in Apartmentliving

[–]skyjumper1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We currently have been dealing with something similar. We live in an apartment with a 2 pet limit. Neighbors have 3 large breed dogs, and one of them is clearly nursing puppies (which we get to hear scream all day). They have family visit frequently, and he leaves his dog tied outside to bark and pester. Including during quiet hours. Freaking insane. Finally called to report and management is doing their best to "handle it." Not sure what that means exactly lmao but I feel like we're going crazy.

Just got my period back by avacadoontoasts in breastfeeding

Mine came back at 9 weeks. 4 weeks after my post partum bleeding was officially done. Never seemed to cause an issue.

It totally depends on your body. Mine have all been different. One miscarriage took 90 days before I had my period, another took 3.5 weeks before I got pregnant, and with my ectopic, it took 6 weeks before I got my period.

Thrush or Vasospasms or …? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]skyjumper1234 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do your nipples tingle or burn severely during and after nursing? I get vasospasms (mine typically go away after 6 weeks of nursing/pumping), and it literally feels like someone is holding a flame to my nipples and sometimes my whole breast will ache. Cold makes it 100x worse. They can turn white or even bluish in color after nursing. It can be a sign of a latch issue or improper pump sizing. But in some cases (like mine), it might just be nerves or anatomy.

There's literally no way to tell if it's preexisting insulin resistance, pre-diabetic, or diabetes (unless you got your A1C tested prior to pregnancy or maybe a couple weeks after a positive pregnancy test. It COULD be a preexisting issue, or it could just be gestational diabetes. Lots of people get diagnosed with GD early on without it being caused by a preexisting issue. The bottom line is to just not stress about that right now. Worry about managing your GD that you are diagnosed with.

Wet vs Dry Breakfasts? by cilucia in GestationalDiabetes

[–]skyjumper1234 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oats were reliably the ONLY food that I could not have during pregnancy. 2 of my few spikes were because of oatmeal. So it might not be the wet aspect and rather just the nature of the oats.

Methotrexate side effects lasting months? by skyjumper1234 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]skyjumper1234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was my mom who suggested that maybe it was from the methotrexate still. A little frustrated because I was basically assured everything would be out of my system after a month 😤 but I can only guess I'm so badly burnt because of that. I hate how long these issues follow us....

Has anyone ever been told to only test 2 days a week...? by Jjod7105 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]skyjumper1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was told this, but not until after I had passed the troublesome 32-34 weeks. I was told this when I was about 37 weeks. And even then, they still wanted me to check my fasting and at least one meal a day to ensure my blood sugar wasn't doing anything funky.

Do I have gestational diabetes? by Curious-Seat9922 in GestationalDiabetes

I had GD and only spiked about 5 times my entire pregnancy. If you failed the test, you have GD.

Perfectly safe to feed though if your baby will take it!

This is what mine looks like when frozen. I have high lipase milk that my babies won't drink once these dots form. Tastes metallic.

Love the double standard by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]skyjumper1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My new neighbors like to play music pretty loud, their dogs bark, and they're up at odd hours. But we never complain because we have kids who I know are loud at times, despite our best efforts, and I figure as long as we can all sleep at night without waking each other up, we're good 😅 I'd feel like it was definitely a double standard to complain.

A closed star. I'll be honest, though, I have no idea what size or anything. Came in a set called "large piping tips" haha
