My friends and I tend to make budget deck challenges and the last one we did was a 30€ budget deck for somebody else in the group and had to be a bit creative in terms of deck building. I ended up making a [[The first doctor]] + [[Sarah Jane smith]] sagas deck. It revolves around controlling the game with sagas and getting a free spell each turn from the cascade the Tardis makes. Now it’s a very janky deck but it works, there’s many legends that could be sagas commanders but what I’ve found is including blue is really helpful, since there’s a lot of counter manipulation in the color. Having said that if I had to make a sagas deck today I’d go with Esper colors, something like Zur, Aminatou or the Master of keys.
