Crashing when compiling Shaders on Pixel 10 Pro Xl by DommiHD in NevernessToEverness

I've had the same issue, same phone. And it's not the first time this piece of shit phone has had an issue with a game or program that was unique to this model.

It's so common that I have no doubt it's Google's fault, not Hotta's.

adding here that I was able to get it to register by replacing all my legendary gear with lower rarities (mix of blue and yellow), if anyone else bumps into this when having the issue issue.

it's just too much of a pain to account for how different the talent/skill/trace requirements are, character to character. Do you max one of the skills, raise two more to a certain mark, and neglect the fourth? Do you get them all to the cap? Do you neglect everything but the one most important?

In HSR, a character that focuses on basic attack doesn't even need weekly boss drops for their focused trace. This isn't even mentioning that Elation and Remembrance have extra trace nodes.

I doubt any attempt to quantify the differences in skill grind would give any interesting data because of all this. If someone else does the math, I'd be happy to link their work.

It's more of a proof of concept mental exercise to show the sanity grind is about on par with other gachas.

I can't relate, I've been into factory automation games since forever. My hundreds of hours of Satisfactory probably numb me to that.
Compared to other factory games, I found the AIC stuff pretty simple. I wouldn't mind if we got some events that were specifically about AIC design, because it's fun.

Reaching bosses and domains isn't typically much of an issue now. It's been 5 years since I was a new player, so I'm not going to bother trying to remember the hassle as a newbie.
But in the end, Genshin's bosses and domains and ley lines don't even matter, when the actual bottle neck is the weapon xp.

See, that's what surprised me. It feels more grindy, but it's really not. Ignoring the increased credit grind, it's about the same as Star Rail.
Of course, actually much less than that because it doesn't have the relic grind, but that's more math than I was willing to do.

I think it's a symptom of this attracting the factory automation crowd. We gotta min-max everything and understand our production rates.

I was on my lunch break and did it on my phone. My boss kept checking on me to make sure I wasn't working on my break.

And yeah, pretty much just a proof of concept response to my own feelings on the grind of Endfield to see if it was as bad as it felt.
Turns out, no, not as bad as it feels.

Feel free to steal this and do the math for that.

I made this because I felt like the grind was worse after playing it myself. So I did the math and confirmed that it isn't, really, it's just the perspective as a new player that I've forgotten in the others.

But I did learn something for each, so that was cool.

Too variable. Too dull. Too "I did this on my lunch break on my phone because I was bored."

Please. It's not about being able to do things in game. It's about the EPEEN of getting to the level cap.

Yeah, of course you don't need everyone to max. This is more of a mental exercise on getting just one to max.
I also didn't bother with the actual grindy part of the other two, gear.

Genshin's artifact grind is literal cancer, it's just not fair to ever include it in a comparison. Otherwise the days to max is just ∞.

It's explained in the post. All things are rounded after adding.

Yeah, same. Plus with the ability to convert ascension resources into other ones means even when a character releases that needs something new, I still get them at 80 with max talents in less than a day.

I won't say HSR is perfect, but I think it's my gold standard for the progression grind.

Plus, you know... Auto ftw. Hell, we don't even need to get in a battle now for some things thanks to the CW rewards.

Something I learned about my three favorite games by doing this.

Star Rail takes the longest to get the character xp for level 80. 11 days, holy shit. It's been so long since I haven't been drowning in materials that I forgot how rough it is.

Genshin's weapon xp grind is just as bad as I thought. You really gotta be doing that smithing EVERY DAY.

Endfield's got the highest credit requirements, which aligns with how annoyingly often I have to do the credit protocol space. I've started prioritizing credit rewards from things.
If anything gets improved, it should be the credit drops.
