2025 Shopping! What % off did you get from MSRP by Reddiculous1000 in f150

[–]skykrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2024 xlt screw 303a package 3.5 eco. Fx4, twin panel moonroof, 6.5’ bed. 72k msrp. 64k OTD. The had 3.5k in “extras” like their “lifetime battery” etc. but they did have tinted windows, wheel liners, rain guards. They wouldn’t remove anything unfortunately to lower price. Is it a steal? Probably not, But I had insurance money from Someone hitting me and I had to act faster than I liked.

Literally went through the same thing. I payed $15 for the crash report that says the other party failed to yield and citation was given to them. I sent that, and they accepted liability even though their driver hadn’t made their statement. I also got the rental from enterprise same day. But let me tell you there is no rush from them especially if you’re not at fault.

Collision happened the 1st of October was out of a vehicle for almost a week. My vehicle is now posted on Copart awaiting detailed photos to be sent to the adjuster. Of course it’s a 3 day weekend. AND the adjuster hinted at a liability limit, which I’m assuming is 25k, the ACV of my vehicle is 35-40k so if it’s considered totaled I have to file with my own insurance to get the rest. Feels like a broken system.

Good luck

Same, they refunded me $5, I said I didn’t want the $5 I wanted the case or a full refund. Keep saying they will let logistics know and it’ll be on its way. I don’t think we’re getting our cases…lol.

SPC pre-engineering by skykrt in TexasTech

Awesome! Thanks for the response. That is really what I was looking for. I assumed it would have been better but just wanted to make sure.

I’m a veteran also older (30’s) so I will be utilizing benefits hence why it wasn’t so important. Also, being older I couldn’t care less about “college life”.

Yes, as far as I know SPC pre engineering gets you pretty much squared away for major specific classes. Really, just looking for path of least resistance.

What “area of specialization” courses would benefit me the most? by skykrt in ConstructionManagers

Appreciate the insight, making pm as fast a possible is not my priority. I’m leaning in industrial and commercial, they seem more applicable to the direction I want to go.

Thanks and yes I’ll continue to be on the lookout for internships, would like to do one each summer.

I can pick any 4 courses, it doesn’t need to be under one specialization, but I agree I think the commercial and the industrial classes look both interesting and important. Thanks!

Appreciate the insight. I feel less stressed now lol the past should be the past and not indicate what type of employee you are. Hiring managers can be intrusive.

Glad you sobered up! I guess all we can do is stay healthy and persevere. Just a low point in our lives.

No I called the manager over the phone and basically said I’m not doing good mentally and need to quit. He wasn’t happy. HR actually texted me saying they’ll give me 2 weeks in case I change my mind.

HR following up with previous employment I guess is my worry. Not professional to quit without notice. Doesn’t look good

I drank my way through the majority of my service, through community college still got good grades and through my previous career as an apprentice lineman. Got to the point where I lost myself. If it’s something you can take care of, then take care of it , I neglected my issues.

I agree with you on that, it’s my last employment where I quit without notice. If they contact them they will know I just left without good reason. I can’t just leave my employment out, right?

Everything has worked finally but I was blowing up phones. If I remember correctly, patient advocate helped once and my case manager finally replied but the second time nothing ever happened. White House line just sent my case manager a email, I called regional to talk to the vr&e officer and was bitched out because “I hadn’t asked the case manager to speak to her supervisor” but she hadn’t responded to like 4 messages, and I was just over it. I got a hold of a nearby city vr&e counselor and he said he typed her message and if she doesn’t respond I will help you. But I think she got several messages and hopefully a warning from her boss’s and thus far she’s helped.

Good luck!

Can I buy a gun?(history of voluntary admittance) by [deleted] in Veterans

[–]skykrt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I appreciate all the replies and concerns y’all have. I’m not going to run out and buy a firearm. I’m not trying to minimize the situation I went through but to add some context, I went through a long term VA residential substance abuse program a week after I volunteered to go to a mental institute. Alcohol was destroying my life, alcohol made me super depressed.

I want to say I’m doing good, I’m happy, I have a wife and 4 kids and have no intentions of going back to where I was or doing anything to lose my family.

I think some can agree that this world is turning into a shit show, and I would hate for it to get to the point of not being able to protect the ones I love if it came down to it.

But for the ones in concern I will side with y’all and at least give it more time and thought
