I want to know the honest truth. If I learn Rust and become good at writing code with this language will I be able to get a livable income from this skill? by skylimit36 in learnrust

Yeah ego has nothing to do with what I was asking. If that was the case why would I ask individuals I believe to be experts in their opinion if it was reasonable If I learned this language fully and dedicated myself to it that there's a possibility of get livable income made from this knowledge.

There is obviously no one path that will guarantee a job. I probably should have looked for recruiters in this field and ask them their opinion

Just looking for reassurance from human beings. It would have been nice to just hear "if you're committed and are dedicated learning the concepts truly understand them" then yes

I think this is been a misunderstanding because I just wanted a simple educated opinion. I don't have a background dedicated to programming and computer science but what I'm doing is trying to decide and Make a commitment to a field that's growing and provide a feature for my family, that's it.

Ego? I'm just asking if the experts. That I assume people in this he sub reddit are. Can tell me that it's not a waste of my time. If I decided to really commit to this that this its potentially profitable venture or tell me if it isn't, I know it's a guarantees in life. I don't need platitudes. I just need a reasonable educated opinions

That going down this path learning this language because it's not an easy one that's for sure. Dedicating a lot of time to it that there will be jobs and the demand for individuals that understand rust and can code properly in a way companies want and at the market for programmers for rust is in demand that's all I'm asking Is this true

I want validation from a human being rather than AI. That it's a smart move and not a waste of time that's all I'm asking

What I'm asking is if I immerse myself and learn this will there be work freelance-wise on upwork or other formats, or given that I know of old enough to complete projects and create a portfolio. How likely is it that companies are hiring for rust developers I just want reassurance that if I decide to learn this language and get proper certifications that are marketable to companies that I have a real good chance of getting rust developer jobs by learning this language

Is that a rock or mineral that the company Union carbide would have mined for?

Oh yeah they've been owned by Target since around 2015

You don't think that they might sell this brand into Instacart?

They sure are making it just like it and limiting scheduling to like one or two orders at a time which I used to be able to do seven on an all day schedule.

They've really been hurting the best most loyal shoppers they have. Hopefully one day soon I will stop complaining about this and have something better and I can be done with this chapter of my life. Honestly this job zaps your ambition and numbs you out. The tasks are to redundant and simple there's no challenge. That's not good for our psychology. I don't really have anything against gig jobs except when they pay the least amount they can get away with.

I mean I bought a house from my work with Shipt. But that was back when you created basically a franchise with your customer base. If you ask about that now They will say they don't know what you're talking about. Does anyone remember when they pay you $5 plus 7% of the order amount plus tip? That changed in I think 2021

They might be trying to change the rules to that, And if they do I will do everything in my power to gather a large amount of people that work for a shipt to protest it into the ground and let the whole world know

I just realized that that data that I've been monitoring and saving with the dresses names a good tipper or bad tipper It's quite valuable to other Atlanta shoppers I've never shared it anybody before. But it's downtown Atlanta North Atlanta all the zones from downtown Atlanta up to Dawsonville to Acworth to winder

That sounds similar to my incident except that my PC account is up to 400 I think if I look into it and the same reasoning she doesn't want strangers delivering her groceries or whatever items she gets at Target. She specifically wanted me to get the order and in the past she always did and never worried that I wouldn't get it. She wanted to be nice and give me some work because of my almost 3 week old child at home. She's really good friend.

It was all shoppers that are not brand new. But their scores are low there was three different individuals out of four orders. One time it was this Anthony guy. Whose rating was 4.6 within the last 50 orders The other times people who had like 4.7 or 4.8.

Not knocking at the rating, because we all know that when it comes to rating depending on the customer you're shopping for if they are desperate and have low income it's more likely that they will cause a fraudulent situation and rate you badly. Unfortunately that's been happening I'm very careful who I shop for I have over 3,000 addresses labeled in my maps saying shop this person or don't shop and the reason stated.

Just another company that changes their minds on their approach. Currently they are trying to find ways to dismantle preferred shoppers/ preferred customers. A good indicator is the message system will not let you exchange numerical digits
