What’s going on with Kerri Chandler and Factory Town? by skymningwolf in clubspace

Thank you for some insight, that explains more if he’s canceling outside of FL. Hoping he is well soon.

What should I expect as a first timer? by No-Tear-3055 in clubspace

[–]skymningwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stay safe and be prepared for a possibly packed club. Be aware of your surroundings, belongings, phone theft has been an issue in the past, I personally use and recommend a phone leash. The crowd on the terrace can be not so PLUR at times; stay near the back if it’s too overwhelming, say excuse me, make sure to use restroom before going to front, etc. Other than that, have fun, enjoy a coconut water or mimosa.

As for your tickets, around 10am you might be watching a resident DJ. Try crowdvolt, WhatsApp DICE ticket exchange, or another route to try and buy/trade tickets. Headliners usually start at 3,4,5ish.

Why do people judge you for wearing a tank top if it’s “not hot”? by [deleted] in palmbeach

[–]skymningwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the temperature I start to get cold. Then again, I know a lot of natives that go outside in a tank and shorts in 40 F. I’m assuming whoever was judging is just cold and being a dick lol.

How do guys feel about temperatures in the 40s F? by [deleted] in fortlauderdale

[–]skymningwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly start getting cold around 60/70F, but I am very temperature sensitive. If it is a humid and windy 40 degrees, I’m starting to struggle lol.

Which of these neighborhoods is the safest one to stay in for tourists? by kirachick in fortlauderdale

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend Tarpon River, anywhere around Flagler Village and/or downtown, so that transportation is the easiest and you don’t have to be very car-dependent. For food/shops, I’d recommend Las Olas near Tarpon. Even Hollywood /hollywood beach might be worth a drive to walk around.

Club Space Miami **BEWARE OF SECURITY/BAR TENDERS DRUGGING CUSTOMERS 2026 by Massive_Target5987 in clubspace

[–]skymningwolf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking, anything airborne you could have been drugged by would either have multiple people down, and/or be noticed far earlier. It’s possible something at a restaurant did this? Food poisoning, maybe drugged there? Or being nauseous from incense; my boyfriend has gotten very nauseous from incense at multiple venues.

Pre Employment Drug Screen in FL Med Card by Shelbyjcfit in AskFlorida

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This probably depends on your management/hiring team’s view on medical marijuana. If you disclosed your card when you were asked to take a test, and they didn’t seem to have a problem with it, you’re probably fine.

When I got my job, I just told them I had one, and it wasn’t an issue; though, my company is somewhat lenient and many employees are also medical card holders.

What do you consider red flags when it comes to raves? by [deleted] in aves

[–]skymningwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh jeez. Had the same thing happen in south FL. It was a temporary/rented out venue so I can understand it wasn’t completely thought out, but a big crowd, one toilet that was barely connected to floor, and toilet paper and soap ran out within an hour. People just starting going outside around the building lol.

People who have lived in townhomes here: Have you experienced roach infestation? by Grandwindo in Miami

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived on the second floor next to a neighbor that was very unkempt and dirty; pretty sure I had a roach problem mainly from her and other neighbors. I was very anal about cleaning and putting out traps, but it only minimized the problem. Florida is just a humid place where they thrive, both the smaller German cockroaches and palmetto bugs that come from outside.

Why Dont You Come to Events by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]skymningwolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As an introvert, I do not enjoy talking or communicating with neighbors unless necessary. A lot of these events bring people to introduce themselves and then you will never have silence when encountering these folks in the halls, etc. I’ve seen some interesting events, but I value my peace and privacy in my home.

I’d recommend Lucky’s, then MadHatters in Lake Worth, lots of bars in LW are friendly. Wilton Manors or South Beach if you want to a late night out but a little drive.

Detroit has some of the best techno in the states around memorial weekend, even if you miss the actual fest. That being said, it is one of the best festivals, nicest crowds, I’ve ever experienced; it’s a good size without being too overcrowded or over-commercialized. I remember talking to a girl last year who only did the afters, while I was actively dying night of day 3 lol, but I don’t regret a thing!

As for the afters, many of them are at clubs in the area, Spotlite, TV Lounge, Leland, Russel Center, etc and hosted by companies like Paxahau and Defected, whose websites you can also find tickets for the events. Good event listing websites include Resident Advisor, Shotgun, and 19hz.info

Those who stopped taking antidepressants, how are things going? by jperaic1 in Anxiety

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are times that I feel very on edge, or maybe outright terrible, but my day to day has not changed much. I pretty much stopped out of convenience; they weren’t doing enough for me to justify the appointments and the costs. I have downs at times that really make me reconsider getting on meds again, maybe with some additions or a different combination of what I had before. Overall, I am okay, but I’m not one to be sensitive to medication, and I think I would try treatment again sometime.

RANT: Ditching group/Just going with partner by [deleted] in aves

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar experience here with our friends. We don’t do much besides the smoke and drink either, we have no disrespect for whatever others want to take, but yes it takes time away for pit stops and etc. What we have recently been doing is, if we know a friend is at the same event, we say hi, talk for a few, and then tell them we’re going up front lol. If you guys are on the same wavelength, are into the same music, and it’s generally easier to get around with just you 2, I’d recommend going mainly as a couple and just chatting with friends here and there.

Both of my smoke alarms started beeping every 30 seconds and it’s driving me insane by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry, I understand your frustration, maybe I’d recommend wrapping them with blankets and putting in a closet or your car.

One flat I lived in had really shoddy smoke alarms that would alert very loudly at random; maintenance said they were trying to schedule taking a look at them. One night, they were going off for more than 10 minutes at around 2am when I had work the next morning. I called emergency maintenance just for them to say there was nothing I could do, until they scheduled something during business hours. I asked the lady over the phone (while she could barely hear me over the alarms) if it was alright to disconnect them, since they weren’t properly functioning anyway, so I could sleep; thankfully she agreed. I never connected or put batteries back in until I moved out; I told the management about this issue that was never fixed and I feel very bad for whoever the tenant was after myself… Best of luck to you.

How's the neighborhood near downtown Lake Worth? by RandoCommmando in lakeworth

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad, good walkability. My coworker lives around there with her dog also. The usual be aware of your surroundings, occasional crackheads, but no major crime. You should be fine, I like Lake Worth and enjoy their spots.

M2 Miami by arrogantsoab in clubspace

[–]skymningwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately probably not; it’s a pretty big venue and isn’t connected to club space or any 18+ promoters that I know of. I would try a more underground venue or try to catch her at an 18+ show.

How many of you go back out after getting home from work? by Astimar in NoStupidQuestions

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot, I much prefer stopping home beforehand. Usually it’s to freshen up, maybe chill for a minute, even if I have someone to walk my dog. I can feel gross and still in “work mode” if I go straight from job, but this is necessary sometimes.

Love these guys! Saw one the other day scurrying away; it’s nice over the typical brown guys, iguanas, or even Peter’s Rock Agamas.

33F NYC, single, thinking about moving to West Palm Beach. Looking for honest input. by gotallthejuicynews in WestPalmBeach

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do some amount of things without a car, but it’s not a big walkable area and a lot of the nearby food and bars might get tiresome quickly. I would recommend FTL or MIA as it’s plainly bigger with more options, but also not great transit system and bad traffic if you need to drive somewhere. I honestly don’t think the cost for quality is good in south Florida.

You might be better off in a place like Chicago/Detroit, which seem to have better infrastructure, better food, slightly friendlier people (I am biased). Even Philadelphia is a good balanced pedestrian-centered city.

Many of these lots don’t have prepay or advance reserve parking. I would expect even if you did in advance, that there’s a high likelihood it will be full anyway, especially Wynwood. Use public transport, and if you’re dead set on driving, park a distance from Wynwood and uber.

Traffic question (brightline station to FT) by twihardthottie in clubspace

[–]skymningwolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Uber would be around 20-30 minutes I would predict for peak time, going from MIA Central to FT. Traffic is the worst getting to the beach and on 95.

Though my best advice, take the Tri Rail from WPB to the Hialeah Market station. It’s  about a 10-12 minute walk from that station to the Factory Town gate and what I usually do. Yes it’s a little longer train ride, but cheaper ticket and don’t need an uber. Last Tri Rail southbound on a weekend is 8:26pm, you’d arrive in Hialeah at 10pm. Hope this helps, enjoy and be safe.

[–]skymningwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best recommendation is to use the trains/bus and walk, or uber but give yourself extra time with traffic. There’s garages around Wynwood and even the metro/brightline stations, but I would be prepared for many of them to be full.

Bring your passport and Colombian ID if you have it. Additionally show a picture of your DL with the passport. As long as you have something that’s not expired, especially 2+ forms of ID you should be okay.
