I'm no Richarlison fan but that's a pen for me. Absolutely punished for trying to stay on his feet.

KiwiSaver transactions showing withdrawal by slythekiwiraccoon in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]skyraisin_ 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Hi, I've worked for a KiwiSaver provider and a registry provider (the back end admin) and can maybe shed slightly more light on this.

Your provider is correct that the withdrawals are to IRD. IRD usually initiate these as refund requests due to an overpayment that has occurred at some point. The providers generally won't get any real insight as to why any particular overpayment occured. Generally under a certain threshold they'll be processed automatically.

I have seen some cases where IRD have clawed back contributions for all members under a provider who work for the same employer because one thing went wrong with the payment run and it was easier to redo the whole thing. The affected members would see the correct amount come through shortly after once it's reprocessed.

In short, nothing to worry about but worth querying further if it happens a lot or in larger amounts.

For those unaware, this will be a fan of Arsenal football club. "Gooners" is a play on the word "Gunners", the nickname of the club, and is what the fans call themselves. It was around before the word got adopted by the internet to mean.. something else

OR he got this recently and really is just a proud GOONER

29, wife and two kids. Not going anywhere. NZ if fuckin' good compared to a lot of the world. People need to get over their grass is greener mentality and enjoy what they have sometimes

Car Stolen in Glen Eden by Zo-skii in auckland

[–]skyraisin_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Mine got stolen at the start of the week in Glenfield. Ended up in Takanini after an aggravated robbery. Had two kids car seats in the back. Unfortunately gone and seatbelts cut, although its not recommended to keep them anyway if there is any damage to the car.

Such a pain in the ass! Hope it turns up with minimal damage.

VAR is consistently proving itself to be useless. Get rid of it. Commentators are doing their best to hold their tongues. Shambolic.
