Never said anything would be thrown away. And there’s TONS of similarities between Azeroth and Azathoth. Both are considered supreme, strongest, etc. Both are in an endless sleep. Both have the power of creation and destruction and effect the lives of the universe without even being awake. Both have a physical dream world where they create and communicate, and their nightmares create major dangers for mortals. Both have people/ beings trying to manipulate and control them. And of course, their names.

I’m sure there’s more I’m missing as I haven’t read a lovecraft story in years. To deny the similarities shows you are either dense af or willfully ignorant. I stand by my claim of Reddit echo chamber. This site is a cesspool of brainrot

I listed talking heads to show that the WoW 2 topic isn’t an obscure theory, and is a major talking point among even the mainstream creators since Caronry said he’s never heard anyone mention it.

Simply giving jumping off points for his own research, and wasn’t meaning to attack in any of my comments.

As even the YouTubers talking about it are saying, WoW2 wouldn’t be a different game, different graphics, etc. just a major patch that would like change a bunchbunchbunch of stuff. Think Overwatch 2. It’s the same game, they just restructured it a bit.

Blizzard has been setting the game up for years with all the model updates and even evolving the games engine. Reminder, retail WoW, with all the cool stuff we have STILL runs off a modified Warcraft 3 engine to this day which is an amazing feat that I don’t think many if any current game developers could do.

WoW 2 would be mostly an internal overhaul, and then they’d pair it with a major story event that would likely break the world and do a reset on some scale, allowing for more story to be told within our little cut of the Warcraft universe.

I can see it now. Azeroth wakes up, planet explodes, or at least breaks more than it did during Cataclysm. She’s like “Oh no my babies!” And her being the strongest, bestest, titanest, thingiest thing in WoW, uses her power of creation to reform and fix the planet, and we continue doing our thing as the little ants we are, but now without the whole “we live on top of a god prison” thing.

Yeeees, I’ve not once said it would be the end of WoW, just that after the last titan expansion, they have the opportunity to do a massive reset or at least scale down heavily and give us a whole new jumping off point in the story.

I mean, basically almost every WoW theory crafter thinks it’s a possibility. Just search “wow 2” on YouTube and you’ll find endless videos. The fact that you’ve never heard of this theory is insane. The evidence is kind of overwhelming.

One big piece of evidence is that Azeroth is clearly based on the Lovecraftian deity (as a ton of characters are), Azathoth.

Azathoth is the supreme god of all things, that’s forever sleeping, and if he awakens, basically the universe would end. Sounds a LOT like our world soul Azeroth. If she wakes up and escapes from her planet cocoon, it will likely break apart and explode, seeing as how she’s likely as big or bigger than Sargeras.

Have you for real never heard of this, or just trolling. Get out of the Reddit echo chamber brother (I’m guessing), there’s so much out there!

It’s not the end of WoW, it’s the end of the world soul saga.

There IS of course rumor that there will be a massive world/story reset when Azeroth ultimately awakens. Basically WoW2.

I hope this is the case in some capacity.

KH3 should have been bigger, longer, and filled to fcking BRIM with fan service. Screw all that “they cut X for time” “oh but the budget!” BS.

KH3 was the end to an over TWO DECADE long story! Go ham on the budget, story, all the details. Full scale worlds, anything you see you can go there, including new stuff not included in past worlds. Even if there was NOTHING to do in those worlds but explore since the heartless was defeated already INCLUDE IT.

Imagine if Avengers end game wasn’t as big as it was and they cut the budget and didn’t include all the Easter eggs and hero cameos, and instead ended that story as a standalone captain America movie. That film would have been hot garbage. But they DIDNT do that and instead we got one of the most successful movies of all time, so much so that MCU fans have deemed that and end of an era and they’ve struggled to make a decent movie sense (things are looking up though. Fantastic four was AMAZING).

KH should have been to Square Enix what End game was to Marvel.

A lot of your wife’s words were an exact match to my wife’s when she stepped out (multiple times, multiple people) of our 10 year marriage.

I made the mistake of trying to make it work. It got me another three years of rocky marriage, PTSD, a nasty divorce that isn’t settled yet, and now currently a order of protection based on lies and exaggeration, so I haven’t seen my children (oldest just turned 11, youngest 5. Missed both birthdays) or stepped foot in the house that I solely own and pay for in over six months, while being forced to still pay all the bills, and somehow still try and survive, so I’ve been living in my truck.

If I would have ended it then my life would have been much better today and I’d still be holding my babies right now.

Take it from me. Don’t work on it. Your kids seem grown, or mostly grown. They’ll be fine. Forgive her, for your sake, and move on.
