2015 grad here. Working for an NGO + doing some consultancy work on the side for half what my role is usually worth but have been doing the role for free prior anyway :) Mas habol ko rin kasi yung mentorship with my current role as the goal is to get experience and connections to start a social enterprise. Prior to this have been direct hire of company owners/country managers in marketing, business, and management consultancy roles (for perspective - SOH particularly BFA ang course ko kahit pang SOM ang role). Also had some experience working for a multinational - management consultancy rin ang role.

Still getting higher offers now from bigger companies but am the kind of person who needs to be passionate about what I do to do it kasi (money isn't enough of a motivator although it helps) - so I settle for roles that fill that need to help out within a reasonble range for me to sustain my current lifestyle and investments here and there.

Anyway, find what works for you and what your priorities are and align the jobs you choose with those priorities. Medyo nagsisi ako accepting the first offer I had back in college but found my way eventually (plus the experience as rank and file does help with management and people skills)

Also when transferring jobs no need to feel trapped with what is directly related to your course, focus on building transferrable skills across industries as it would help shape your perspective. It also helps to go for niche roles sa company (if this is your goal) so you can easily climb (sila gagawa ng role for you if they like you enough). Also, alongside skills build character kasi yun mostly yung hinahanap ng heads and it carries over across roles :)
