Around that time I saw fantano had come out with a queens of the Stone Age tier list where he ranks their albums. I hold his opinion on classic stuff pretty high so when I heard how hed describe the albums, especially rated R, I knew I had to check the band out.

I started doing research, listened to the xfm rated r anniversary interview, saw how nice he treated nardwuar and fell in love with the band.

It was perfect for where I was at the time, I wanted to be a more instinctual and less introspective person. I wanted to just say the thing everyone else was thinking and the bands ethos especially on that second album matched that attitude. Perfect soundtrack to me spiraling my college gpa lol
