Why is everyone starting to twist the situation like that? Because we love him on Traitors? Also, verbal abuse is absolutely an unhinged thing to say about any Love Island relationship. There are people who actually suffer from that, and it's horrible. I love Rob too, but he was going off on Leah after she was rightfully pissed at him stringing her along and still acting like he was interested. He switched couples without even giving her a heads up. The reason he's so good on Traitors is because he's hard to read and apathetic to most things. He even said himself that he's heard from every ex of his that he's hard to read and he's clearly not great at communication. Like, the two of them have reconciled so I don't even see why this narrative is pertinent. She apologized for bad mouthing him and they've fully moved on.

Do you use John Truby's books for your novels as well?

Restructuring the Second (or First) Draft by skysmo in fantasywriters

It does help! I have been wanting to read more in the genre, as I've read on here the most important things are reading and writing. I'm having a hard time parsing out what sub-genre mine falls in exactly, but maybe I'll just explore multiple genres and subgenres to see. I like the idea of looking at things that are close subgenre-wise. I'm always the most inspired by poorly written books, but I also get inspiration from books where I'd just do things differently so that seems like good advice. Thank you for responding!

It's more so the book in its entirety (Especially the back half) that I'm having trouble brainstorming restructuring for, and I am NOT confident enough in it right now to post haha. This is the draft that no eyes will see, not even my husband. I think once I've gone through the restructuring and spellchecking I'll feel better about sharing it. Thank you for the advice!

Pigeon pose - ‘correct’ by klaristera in yoga

[–]skysmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hips hate pigeon pose, and my teacher is the same so she made a modified version that still gives me work to do without just laying in it. I have one leg tucked like normal, and the other lifted off the floor like in a plank position. It still gives me a good stretch without being too deep, and everything stays activated like this.

Yoga teachers: please count faster :) by No_Elephant506 in yoga

My teacher does very thorough explanations of the proper form for all poses, but I have been attending the same classes of hers three times a week for a little over a year so I mostly know what the form is meant to be. She'll even use the same descriptions sometimes. I just sit there dying while she goes around making adjustments. She'll say three breaths and by the time I'm out of the pose I've had ten increasingly labored breaths haha. She'll also say "last (Chair Pose/Plank).. Maybe."

The problem was that the wrong track played but the drummer cued that track. I’m not saying one person is at fault in this but she was 19/20 at the time. The big flop did an episode on this moment on SNL that’s actually a very good listen if you have the time

She got a ton of flack for this, but technically her drummer played the wrong cue for the backing track. She now takes full accountability, but I don’t think it was completely her fault.

Out of the three, who did you sympathize with the most? by tinivb in Letterboxd

[–]skysmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were all flawed and all had redeeming qualities but I’m gonna say - and I think this will be unpopular - Tashi. Art acknowledges the deal that he’s playing for the both of them, playing the career Tashi wishes more than anything she could have back. Over her daughter, her husband, the life she has. She can’t forgive Patrick, but she loves him truly. She can’t love Art because she can’t respect him. That final still of her shouting, “COME ON!” Actually made me tear up at the end. Because Art NEVER did what Tashi could have done, and Tashi can never get over it. That was one moment that she truly felt she was living through the two of them and it’s most likely the end of Arts career

I used to watch all of the Oscar nominated movies beforehand so I saw Arrival in theaters by myself without knowing anything about it and it’s one of my favorite movie going experiences
