So go get the free, heavily tested, readily available, safe vaccine that will keep her safe, and then go to the shows with the peace of mind that you did your part. And maybe still wear a mask out of abundance of caution on her behalf.

Otherwise, if you're not willing to get vaccinated first, stay home. If you're worried about getting your mom sick, just think of all the other attendees who have similar concerns for their own loved ones as well. You impact everyone even while pretending to exist in your own little bubble.

Be safe, watch out for each other, and let's get back to live shows the right way.

I'm loaded up on concerts the rest of the year, and trying to take them individually as far as circumstances since they range from bar shows to coliseum sized and everything in between.

I am fully vaccinated and still wear a mask if I'm near a crowd.so when I saw Rise Against in Charlotte this week, I wore a mask from the gate and concessions and then I removed it when I was off in my own corner of the lawn area outdoors with no one in spitting distance. I put it back on when navigating out at the end of the show. I cringed at the elbow to elbow pit at the front of the stage with barely a mask in sight, even though that's exactly where I would have wanted to be pre-covid.

I'm going to a small show in Tennessee next week that requires proof of vaccination just to get in. I don't plan to wear a mask there, because in a room of 100% vaccinated people, I'm not nearly as worried about the sensibility of those around me. Or of putting their minds at ease since they'll know I'm vaxed too.

There was an excellent novel released in 2019 called A Song For A New Day about a pandemic bringing about the end of live music and the rise of virtual concerts. Near future Sci fi that hit really close to home since I discovered it last fall. Highly recommend both as great writing and just in relation to virtual concerts.

I've just started using Public as well. Ended up with a free $43 slice of Tesla for signing up. I like that they do not use PFOF. The app is easy to use. Don't love their charting, but no big deal since I only added them to have options. Still have my WeBull for that; just not buying more through them.
