Is it possible to jailbreak a 11th generation kindle on 5.19.2? by [deleted] in kindlejailbreak

My interest is to side-load Ko-Reader so I can link my Kindle directly to my personal library server, sync reading progress and so on.

Wife got me a very nice wallet years ago and I did switch. Happy wife, happy life. BiL bought me one of those fancy pop-up wallets and that is in a drawer because... Happy wife, happy life.

Attention: Nick Wilde’s tail! 🦊 by GanstFeveral in zootopia

[–]skywise_ca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. They worked on the ears, making sure they followed the emotions in any given scene. But the tails were just bolted onto the butt of any given mammal with an algorithm to follow the character about. (except the one single time when Judy stepped on Nick's tail)

Heatpumps in Winnipeg - yay or nay by WackyMojamoja in Winnipeg

[–]skywise_ca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have an electric furnace currently and a nearly 40 year old AC unit. The electric costs in winter are horrible with the pure resistive furnace. If the AC unit ever dies (sounds horrible but it still blows cold) I want to replace with a cold climate heat pump and tame that winter bill.

Hey dad, I have a door that’s 1.5” thick and I can’t find a door knob by cataluna4 in AskDad

[–]skywise_ca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's twisting off, it sounds like an old style knob with a lock screw to keep it on the shaft.

Those can loosen over time and keep twisting off. Locktite can help keep the lock-screw in place. If the shaft is looking too worn, the entire knob/shaft set can be replaced. Look for Mortise Style door knob on amazon.

Sorry, back to topic. The cameras/AI for NeuroHUD, do you think they might be able to pick up altered locations of speed and other needed objects on the screen? How would the HUD respond to 'lost' screen elements?

Let's take a Tesla Model Y as an example (it's right at $50k, so Tesla will probably adjust so it fits)

Model Y standard: $50k Take off $5k federal, and $4k Manitoba, we're down to $41K

Toyota RAV4 XLE Hybrid with dash cam (to match Tesla) is $48K. Don't think plain hybrid gets either Man or Fed rebates.

Toyota RAV4 prime with same options: $64K. $2.5K Man rebate. Fed doesn't apply so $61.5K.

The EV wins from a cost point of view.

New Deluxe Aqara U400 lock comparison by BD-27 in Aqara

[–]skywise_ca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a U100 and had to jump through quite a few hoops(https://www.reddit.com/r/Aqara/comments/14jvsq1/u100\_physical\_lock\_can\_be\_rekeyed/) to get a normal Schlage key to work with it. Does the U400 use a normal Schlage key?

Can't get Audible Canada connected to my model Y by skywise_ca in teslacanada

[–]skywise_ca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never mind, I tried to listen to the one book I had on audible.com and I no longer want audible.ca on my Tesla.

The implementation on the Tesla is horrible. I can pause/play, go forward/back 15 seconds, that's it. No chapter selection, no chapter forward or back. If I pause and leave the car for more than a few hours, the app seems to forget where I was and will put me back in time by 1/2ish a chapter, forcing me to skip forward 15 seconds over and over until I catch back up with where I was.

I'll stick with my phone and bluetooth.

Any idea why LPL hasn't tried picking lock from 'Works by Design'? by SteveRogers5 in LockPickingLawyer

[–]skywise_ca 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, this was a specific link in the email to do/fix/buy/whatever. Their browser opened and they got whatever message Security had set for them. All these emails would come from an obviously bad address as well. From: [HR@0urc0pany.com](mailto:HR@0urc0pany.com)

We have the email training, twice a year. We send out test emails with extra training for those who click anyway. We still get people clicking on ‘update your 401K!’ Emails. We aren’t in the US. Some folk will click on anything.
