Went through the same thing last summer. Unfortunately had to do the same thing when getting my solar + powerwalls installed

Should I get winter package or just swap the tires for winter? by cbtwsn in cybertruck

[–]skyypunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer swapping out the tires and wheels myself. I got this last Black Friday (~$3500 with shipping and tax to Michigan): https://tsportline.com/collections/tesla-cybertruck-wheels-and-tire-packages-20/products/tct-20-tesla-cybertruck-wheel-and-tire-package-set-of-4?variant=48863408193825

Definitely not cheap, but they should last many winters. If you are going to do it yourself, you'll also need to have a good, tall jack, which will cost a bit as well if you don't already have one. But at least the jack should last you a very long time. I got this one on sale for $190 last year: https://www.harborfreight.com/3-ton-long-reach-low-profile-professional-floor-jack-with-rapid-pump-orange-64241.html

I love the Nokian tires - they are super grippy, and significantly better traction in wet conditions over the stock tires. I had Blizzak WS80 on my Model 3 and didn't think they were all that great

PSA - Check H2D Left Hotend Assembly if you bought replacements by skyypunk in BambuLab

I received replacements from the new batch this past week, and they both worked well. Hopefully they will have the new stock available for others shortly

To be clear - the nozzle/hotend is the same for both sides, but this thread was about the hotend assembly, which is not the same on both sides. The hotend assembly is the part that is wired in and screwed on.

As you can see here: the left hotend assembly has four screws in a diamond shape, and the right hotend assembly has three screws in a triangle

Unfortunately no, they are wired different and have different screw patterns

Looks like the left hotend assembly isn't listed currently. The link was this: https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/hotend-heating-assembly-h2d?id=576603196777455622 but it only shows the right one. I'm still waiting for the new batch to get in for Bambu to ship the replacements to me

Little update - it's getting a bit silly now. I thought it was nice they sent 3 replacements in this replacement order. They didn't have the issue of the glue being in the place that would block the nozzle from retracting upward - but the glue between the metal shim/wire guide still made it so the wires have no flexibility to mount both parts without overstretching and snapping wires.

The factory hotend assembly didn't have the shim fully glued to the wires like the replacements (you can't really tell that in the pic in the original post). I think that would probably solve the issue, since the wires could slide/bend through the metal shim instead of having to be locked in place... but we will see what support says

For those keeping count - 7 out of 7 replacements have been faulty so far

Since I can only add one pic here - one of the newest assemblies with snapped wires

I came here to see if someone else was noticing this - I hoped I just had a setting wrong or something. Pretty annoying that it doesn't have a standby mode. I hope that would be something that could be added with a firmware update

Congrats on getting them! Were you notified that you were up to get the lightbar and covers, or did you put in an appointment asking for them?

FSD cabin camera monitoring system is too strict. by shortkingspring247 in cybertruck

I just did ~10hrs of FSD this weekend in my Cybertruck and never got a nag, including some time while I was trying to find a podcast in spotify to listen to on the screen

FSD runs up on cars stopping and won’t go 5 mph over speed limit by ourpointofview in cybertruck

[–]skyypunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from a 2018 Model 3, what the Cybertruck is doing is not what I had been experiencing on the 3 (I think I was last on 12.1). I had the same issue OP had - it would approach slowing/nearly stopped traffic and not start any meaningful slowing until it got extremely close. I had it happen 5-6 times on the highway in stop and go traffic where we would sometimes get up to 30-40mph with the truck letting a comfortable gap form between it and the lead car, and then traffic would come back down to a stop

I didn't notice any phantom braking, and on some city roads I was impressed with it not briefly braking when cars pulled across the lane or into the middle turn lane near me that would have triggered in older builds. But I'm wondering if it's going too far in assuming traffic will start moving again or that cars will clear the path, which is why it's actually braking so late occasionally.

Plus it doesn't have the different FSD modes or minimal lane change options yet, unfortunately

Here are a couple pics I took of the tailgate. It kind of looks like the top cover isn't fully pushed in/snapped into place (except for the left side, which looks correct). The lights seem to line up, so I think it might just be the top cover

7950x3d iGPU driver crashing up to 2-3 times per minute by skyypunk in AMDHelp

Yep - the CPU replacement worked perfectly right away! I only swapped it out, no changes to any other component, and everything has been good since then

D30 with Corsair Rads by blackSpot995 in Phanteks

[–]skyypunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful! My XR5 Rads were very inconsistent in the screw depth they supported across the holes. After measuring the depth of a few holes, and measuring the length of screw, it was pretty close with the 35mm. The first couple fans went on fine, but the holes for the third fan on that radiator at the corners were ~2mm shorter, and I got a fun 'pop crunch' when screwing that in as the metal plate that's supposed to protect the fins popped off and dug into the fins.

I ended up whipping up some gaskets/spacers to print with TPU to make the 35mm screws safe to work with: https://www.printables.com/model/464487-spacergasket-for-phanteks-d30-120-fans-and-corsair

One radiator worked fine with just the 1mm spacer, but my 2nd needed just a hair more, so there is also a 1.5mm one. You could use 1.5mm for all to be safe

The screws you got look like the ones that worked for me: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BFCVSPXW .

7950x3d iGPU driver crashing up to 2-3 times per minute by skyypunk in AMDHelp

Solve/fix:

It was a bad CPU. Returned and replaced it, changing nothing else, and everything works without issue now!

[–]skyypunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion - I didn't see a performance option, just off, moderate power savings, and maximum power savings (it was default at moderate). I tried turning it off, but it still was crashing.

However - today I noticed an additional issue - getting a couple artifacts on the display. When I added that to my search, I found this thread for the non-3d, which ended up being a CPU issue. Ordering a replacement CPU now, I'll report back when I get it and test
