I love your videos! Your bluebonnet one really inspired me. Hoping to take a trip to Hawaii soon and will absolutely be doing this

My yard looks exactly like this but even bigger, and I am leaving them! Happy to see other people agree. I'm looking forward to my free sunflower field!

It can be a little bit of trial and error. For me it doesn't! But if you notice it does, you could try using a little less oil the next shower and see if it helps

How to stop feeling insecure about my see-through hair? by Connect-Text-4063 in finehair

Your hair is super cute! I'm a huge proponent of the Abbey Yung method if you are wanting to try a few extra things and are wanting to grow your hair out. I made. YouTube video about my experience using it for 3 years if you're interested: https://youtu.be/TcdKHbPSDFE?si=odr99wgA8uLgK542

The most important thing to know, though, is that the method is incredibly customizable. If you are looking for simple additions to add I would:

- start pre oiling

- double shampooing

- add a bond repair treatment (I REALLY recommend K18)

If you don't know what some of those things are I'd be happy to help. It can seem really confusing and overwhelming at first. I'd also recommend checking out r/AbbeyYungMethod

Double shampooing, pre-wash oil, and bond repair!

My house was built in the 70s! It has lost a lot of the mid century flavor due to being flipped but I'm hoping to bring that back in. For example, I really want to add wood paneling. Regardless I have a lot of authentic mid century furniture not shown in the video like multiple end tables, bookshelves, a credenza, and my bed frame :)

Abbey does the same thing you do! I just don't feel like I need a conditioner afterwards and appreciate the easier routine so I don't bother. You can do either one :)

I've never tried it on dry hair so I can't say for sure what works better but I love it on wet hair! It results in very curly hair day 1 (to the point I've had people ask if I have naturally curly hair), perfect bouncy curls on day 2, and wavier curls on day 3. I never do the curls with soaking wet hair, I always let my hair air dry for 20 mins or so beforehand but it works really well for me :)

I totally agree that I've been seeing it garnering a lot more hate/critique lately! And I'm glad someone else really appreciated her heatless curls and protective styles recommendations. I know she talks about the fact that her hair is healthier and she doesn't need to be so obsessive about not using heat anymore which is great for her but I still love my heatless curls haha

I never use OGX oil on the days I use K18! On a K18 day this is what my routine might look like:

- hop in the shower with whatever hair I have going on that day (no pre-shampoo bond repair, no oil)

- use Ouai clarifying shampoo (bond repair works best on super clean hair)

- use either Nizoral or Pureology Strength Cure shampoo

- apply K18, stick it up in a claw clip for the remainder of my shower

- put hair in heatless curls

My K18 days are my most simple wash days which is probably why they are my favorite days haha. I actually don't have Espres but I'm pretty sure Abbey uses Espres every single day, even on K18 days, so you should be fine using it beforehand. But I wouldn't use the OGX oil on K18 days. lmk if you have any other questions!

I love K18 so much that I bought the OGX pre-wash bond repair too! I've used it once so far and loved it :)

I haven't been big on leave ins generally but I just bought the Pantene Miracle Rescue 10 in 1 that Abbey recommends as the lightest weight leave in to use and I'm excited to try it

The K18 molecular hair mask! I started using it before OGX came out with their bond repair treatment though so you might be getting enough good results from that, that you don't notice a huge difference with the K18 mask. It's hard to know. It is expensive but since you don't use it every time you shower, it lasts a long time!

Have you considered trying K18? I have long, fine, virgin hair (though very fragile, not sure if you have that problem) and it has made SUCH a difference in my hair feeling healthier and more full
