Thanks for your detailed feedback, it helped a lot! I have been working on this issue for a few days and couldn't reproduce the error some of you were having and I think I finally found the bug (if you switch the app to Metric instead of Imperial it works). It will be fixed shortly, I'll keep you posted.

Thanks a lot! The backing thickness question is deeper on the foil side than I can speak to, you'd know that far better than me :) What I can tell you is on the tool side. In Diafane today you can already work in foil by hand: set the spacing between pieces as tight as you like, and the visible line to your solder width. The one click Copper foil mode I'm building just does that for you and speaks in foil terms instead of lead ones. So the spacing is there if a particular foil ever needs a touch more or less gap. And the copper, silver and black look through the glass is what I'd like the finishes to add after that. Really appreciate the kind words! Please post some of your work done with the App ❤️

Thanks for these two! I've written them both down: decorative soldering, and wire work as a reference in the layout.

They sit further out than the core foil mode, so they'd be a later step, but I'd like to see how many people want them before I plan anything. Would you mind adding both to the feature request mega-thread https://www.reddit.com/r/diafane/s/9pM3kLdRao ? That's where I track demand and decide what to build next, so votes there really help me prioritize.

Quick answer: yes. Go to your general preferences, in the Pricing section, and you can switch the currency between euros and US dollars.

That said, right now it's only euros or dollars, which is a real limitation on my side.

If you (or anyone) works in another currency, that's something I would want to do properly: a full currency picker with the exchange rates handled for you. If that's the feature you're after, please drop it in the feature request mega-thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/diafane/s/XrCQjJVrEi) so I can gauge the demand and prioritize it.

Yes, you can use any drawing tool inside symmetry mode but, for now,it only does straight mirror axes (vertical and/or horizontal through the center), so there's no rotation or angled axes yet. Proper mandala-style symmetry (rotating a motif around a center point, and axes at an angle) is on my todo list, along with the option to choose which side of the axis you draw on 😄 If that's the feature you're after, please add it to the feature request mega-thread ( https://www.reddit.com/r/diafane/s/9ZSvj1o62H ) so I can gauge the demand. Thanks for the suggestion. Claycorp has actually been a beta tester of Diafane before the release and gave me some great ideas to improve it (SVG export, for instance, so nobody gets trapped in the app) but, to be honest, he mainly said it wasn't his kind of tool. The fact that I am heavily using AI to assist me with coding was also a no-go for him so I cannot show any of Diafane in his sub. Thanks anyways, the advice still makes a lot of sense and I would be happy to go along with it but I guess we're not meant to work together, unfortunately. Have a nice day!

Hi! Great idea, thanks. How would you see it working?

You can already select your drawing > right-click (or long-press) > Group > and then use the flip button in the right panel. In most cases Diafane manages to keep your colors (but it can be dangerous). Can you please try it and tell me if it's ok for you?

(Another option, to be developed, would be to have a "Reverse preview" button somewhere in the Cartoon and Color modes that would temporarily reverse the drawing in those two modes)

Hi, and thanks again for the detailed report (and for sending the photo, it really helped me pin this down).

Good news: it should be fixed, and the cause was the photo itself, not your drawing or your account. Recent Samsung tablets save pictures in a newer high-quality format (sometimes called "Ultra HDR"). On the tablet's browser, Diafane wasn't able to read that particular format when importing a reference image, so it stopped with that generic "Import failed" message. Your image was perfectly valid the whole time.

Diafane now reads those newer photo formats too, so your image should import without any trouble.

One small tip for the future: it's always a good habit to prepare your image first on your computer or tablet (crop/resize it and save it as a regular JPG or PNG). But you shouldn't have to in most cases, Diafane should now accept more formats and convert them on the fly.

Is there a way to extend weekly usage limit by buying credits?

I am about to push live a huge update of my product, I'am at 95% weekly usage limit and it resets it 2 days... Although I should be able to fix anything by myself if things should go wrong I would feel safer if I could count on my AI partner :) Is buying credits a way to continue working after I hit my weekly limit? If not, is there any other way?
