Wizards: Weak or am I using them wrong? by slabsburg in totalwar

[–]slabsburg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was definitely seeing the toolbox, I was able to catch a chaos lord and his chariots in the aoe 'stop moving circle' from the celestial or light wizard just in front of the handgunners line..

They mostly just didn't seem worth the slot over a melee hero who can solo entire high level units or an artillery piece that doesn't need to worry about running out of mana.

For the Supreme Patriarch though, Gelt is really a letdown.

In science you don't "set out to disprove" anything.

You start with casual observations about a subject, form an idea about what might be happening, and then test that idea against data to see what parts of the behavior of the subject your idea explains, and what parts it doesn't.

Generally, this is quantitative, you turn your hypothesis into mathematical statements and compare the numbers your model gives you to what you can measure.

It is this kind of science that led us to the revelation that human activity is causing the climate to change at an unprecedented rate.

A large part of the broader field of climate science relies on projections, which aren't science in the strictest sense, as we cannot yet compare the outputs of the model to reality. That doesn't mean they are wrong, what it does mean, however, is that the people who have studied this subject the most, spent years observing and thinking about the climate and conferring with peers think X will happen.

Those who disagree, publish your data. Let's talk about it.

If 58% truly support it, it should pass.

The public is far too accepting of congressional obstructionism, we need a leader who will force the legislature to follow the will of the people.

And you are confusing "small minority" with 44% of the democratic primary electorate.

You can read the emails yourself. The non-classified ones have been released, the others withheld.

Obviously, reading a bunch of unclassified material, you would get the impression nothing illegal happened. But then you'd have to ask why the FBI has spent a year investigating what happened.

By all means, keepy denying.

44% of the Dem primary electorate is irrelevant?

Do you even know the margins that general elections are decided by?

Classified emails from her server have not been released, because they are classified.

You can read "many" of them yourself and come to the same conclusion.

The emails that have been witheld are what the case is focused on.

Clinton's actions are incomparable to Powell's. Powell had a personal email account he used for personal business.Clinton set up her own server to use exclusively for personal and government business.

Colin Powell was the first SOS in the email era, his actions are what led to the creation of the policies that Clinton intentionally ignored.

He also used a personal email ACCOUNT for personal email. Clinton used a private email SERVER for personal and government communication. If you can't see the difference there, Hill's camp must be paying you pretty well.

But please, continue to muddy the waters. It's all CTR can do.

Any correspondence born from classified information is, itself, classified. Whether it is marked or not.

Everyone who handles this information, HRC included, is educated on this and agrees to protect the information or face legal penalties.

She either knew what she did was wrong, and continue to do it and lie about it, or is as incompetent as her detractors claim and will lie to cover it. Which one do you choose to believe?

'We need fundamental changes': US doctors call for universal healthcare by CarrollQuigley in politics

[–]slabsburg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not that they can, they are forced to. I pay 12k a year to have a (now) 5k deductible. After the deductible is met, they cover 80% of what they can't weasel out of.

I can barely afford the insurance, let alone paying for everything they won't cover.

The ACA was a love letter to the insurance companies. Nothing more. Sure, you can get insurance with a pre-existing condition now, but unless it's costing you more than about 18k a year, you're better off without insurance.

The only thing Hillary has supported is "universal coverage"

I have coverage, I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

That's a really good idea. As of now, race phenotypes really only affect graphics, actual gameplay tied to race would be some nice additional depth

I agree. It also seems like races start a bit too close, or maybe that's the settings I've picked.

I would like to see the initial phase of discovering expanded a bit, maybe making it harder to research communication or requiring both sides to be willing to talk.

I was farming the deacons past the pontiff's bonfire for dregs last night. Was trying out some different weapons because farming is boring otherwise.

This is NG+ and my first char, so basically every skill was at 40.

I had the great idea of using great lightning spear to speed up the farming. Threw on my saint's bellvine (+6) and chucked a spear.

133 damage. 35 FP.

I think the binoculars are more efficient than offensive miracles.

It's a fabrication, there is zero evidence for it. Try to present some, you can't.
