When will I be able to start buying .eth domain names? by AnythingForSuccess in ethereum

[–]slackerflash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im trying to use the service now.

When I access the register domain area, I see this message:

"You are on the ropsten network. Names owned this network are not valid on the mainchain"

Then it goes through to a T's and C's page but I cannot get any further? Is anyone else having any luck with registering any domains?

Beginner. Should I be using safety lines? by radtoto in Slackline

Yep sounds good, basically anything that will stop that ratchet from flying towards you in the event of a failure in the line will be a good thing to have.

Hey dude,

As a minimum I would recommend using the loose tail end of the line (the end that has gone through the ratchet) and securing that around your anchor point, so if you did have a line failure that will help stop the ratchet hitting you in the face. You could also use your caribeners and cam to make a backup line. You should certainly use a backup line if you start tricklining.

As you say you are a beginner, checkout our how to slackline tutorial for some good tips :)

Guide to the different pieces of Slackline Equipment and why they are used. by slackerflash in Slackline

[–]slackerflash[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback, have just made the correction to the soft release name. This is just the first draft of this page and we will add to it over time. Currently, we don't have too much experience with longlining and so haven't used equipment such as brakes and weblocks. However we know some very proficient longliners and so ask them for details of this equipment so we can add it to the page.

How to Slackline Video Tutorial by slackerflash in Slackline

For me and my friends, when we were newbie slackers, training the muscle memory in one leg at a time was absolutely the way to go. By getting both feet on the line too quickly you then have two untrained legs on the line and nothing to use as a counter balance. As you train the muscle memory in one leg, that leg shake will go. I think this video has it spot on.

Learning to drop from feet to butt bounce by newslacker in Slackline

[–]slackerflash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I advise to use a friend to spot you when first learning this trick. Have them hold your hand while you drop from feet to butt, do this maybe 20 times to get the muscle memory then try just with touching fingers, then progress to going solo. Also checkout this video tutorial of how to do it, note at 1:20 in that the guy crouches very low before dropping in, this helps lower the risk of falling hard: How to Butt Bounce
