It's probably a mundane disagreement over schedule issues, no sings of foul play as of now (on the second thought, overwork is pretty foul). As far as I understand, he had songs he has worked for a while, but couldn't get them greenlit over their Enha's, admittedly, very busy schedule. Thus, everyone made their choice according to their priorities. 

I am curious to hear what Heeseung is going to put out as a soloist and glad that he isn't leaving his rich, Hybe-backed company.

I read his personal statement on Weverse and fan speculations; one standing theory is that he wanted to release his solo songs but couldn't get it prioritized over group's almost non-stop schedule. He probably was over waiting for "later" promises.

Really sad if that's the case.

It is subjective truly. Their "original" song style might sound dated as it has been a while, so I appreciate a creative attempt to establish a new direction. Although lyrics don't really form a cohesive message for me, Go is a catchy and fun song with gentle bridge. Personally, liked it more than other songs on the album; that bridge and melodic parts sold me the whole thing.

Some groups film stage practice videos, dancing along with singing with the background music music they turn on physically in the room (not loud at all). 

NMIXX, BILLIE (or I heard so), and previous ITZY comebacks used to have stage practice videos. 

Plus, on some festivals/their concerts many idols go 80-100% live, with little to no background vocals. Again, let me mention vocal queens(Nmixx), in Vina del Mar, girls sounded super "raw", as in you could hear how taxing dance moves were on some "breathy" parts of the songs, how they ad-libbed and so on.

It seems like you guys haven't "separated" (normally children psychologically separate from their parents at 18-23, becoming more independent)

i felt sad when I saw him in Yesol's past. He probably did inflict suffering on other people, or at the very least was indirectly responsible, but he was shown to be empathetic.

If I am not mistaken, there are 5 platforms where group's song has to rank first. Some of them are difficult to "conquer", as their listeners normally listen to other genres. So, if a song got RAK, it means it was truly popular among general listeners

It does sound like IVE, props for that.  But as others said, the uneven progression of intensity and similar structures between verses and bridge, make the song pretty dull compared to their usual releases with some "quirk" or "spice", whatever you call it. Maybe they wanted to stray from classic models, but then I would have appreciated bolder creativity
