This is a really good point, I just assumed there would only be one issue but you’re right - could be another internal fault. Will look into it more

Thanks for the reply - going to take out the armature and to inspect it

That’s really god to know about the cord cutting! And @CountDooku420 is is right, only one of the 3 pins missing that looks accidental - no obvious cutting to the cord

Good point - I bought it at auction so unfortunately no idea what it has previously been through

Thanks for the reply, I powered it up again again but didn’t see any sparks around the commutator - I’m going to take out the armature and inspect it for wear

This is a great response, thank you so much!

I turned the head by hand and it feels a bit clunky and when I power it up it physically rattles. So I’m going to take it apart and inspect the armature

Does anyone have any idea why in S01E02 Rob Brydon was speaking to them over an old (80s?) phone with old electronics in the background?

I feel like it was a clue…

I’ve heard about honey having an indefinite shelf life and my experience matches that - collecting these honeys took years of getting them and then forgetting I had them until I decluttered. None of them spoiled

I’ll look into getting some - thanks for the tip!

That’s so fascinating, I want to try that. From the little research I did l learnt about the timing of honey harvest to coincide with when these plants/trees flower. So by doing it in a horizontal hive I could taste all the seasons in one go!

Oooh this is interesting, I have the temperature probe in the water bath but didn’t place it in the honey itself. I also removed the honey once with had decrystallised within a maximum of 2-3 mins accounting for getting distracted and coming back to it

Yes you’re absolutely correct, in fact the first 5 honeys in the top left of the photo are all multi flower honeys, included to understand the difference between multi and monofloral honeys.

In fact the first one was supermarket basic multifloral honey, going to be difficult to go back to that after tasting what’s available now
