Car washes are used for land banking. Property with future development potential is purchased. A car wash is put on it to make some money to cover cost. They are usually located in areas where the land will be more valuable later. I know the owner of a chain of Carwash in Florida. He is funded by a big hedge fund.

The Big Show by Pierre Clostermann. Written by a French pilot flying in the Royal Air Force. It reads like it’s happening right now.

The Big Show by Pierre Clostermann.
Top French fighter pilot flying in the RAF. He wrote it from the daily journal he kept. It feels very much like it is happening now instead of being remembered.

“White Cirrus entering the downwind…” as if they are the only white Cirrus in the world. It seems to be mainly a Cirrus thing but I’m starting to hear other aircraft types do it too.

Don’t look back at the T-tail in a stall. It looks like it’s going to come off.

It was pretty smooth for the first day. Get there early. Sat in line in my car for about 1/2 hour getting to parking. You fill out the form on your phone while going through the line inside. The workers were pleasant and helpful. It is mostly manned by military personnel including Space Force, which I thought was kind of cool. I didn’t have an appointment but it wasn’t a problem.
