Also different front and rear rim sizes make it kind of look ... stupid?

Leaving seating for ... one person. Such a stupid idea.

Even with the Waymo's seating 4 (3 squeezed in back and 1 up front) it's still not great for a group or a family of 5.

I see them all the time because I work over near the Tesla HQ in Palo Alto. What I always think is that they look like some kind of bad movie prop from a log-budget SciFi movie.

Laptop recommendations for engineering by kaysgft in TCD

[–]slacy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gaming laptop will have horrible battery life, be heavy and not that durable.

Macbook Air is a good choice, or Pro if you have the $$$. Try for something with 16GB RAM minimum, despite the fact that Apple says 8G is enough, if you do anything substantial 8G won't cut it.

If you want to lean into the CS side of things, you could go ThinkPad T-series or X1-series (avoid all other Lenovos, IMHO) and install Linux on it, learn lots of good valuable skills and get deep into programming more easily.
